Help! Not going to the game in Charlottesville for a variety of reasons and planning on having some of our tailgating group over to watch the game on TV. Unfortunately, it is on ESPN3 and I cannot seem to get it to work on my Samsung smart TV. Does anyone have the technical skills to walk an old timer like me through the steps necessary to get ESPN3 to work? Thanks.

Go to watchespn.com
Under the event screen, there are tabs for events. Choose the football tab -- live, upcoming, or replay games will be listed. On Saturday, the game will be listed under upcoming or live depending on the time. Hit the link for the game and then the start arrow. You may be prompted to provide your email address and password for your cable/internet provider. Try it now with any game so that you can determine if you know your password/email info. If you don't have the correct info, you probably will have to contact your provider. Don't wait until Saturday as the wait time to speak to live help might mean missing some of the game. Go Spiders!

Forgot important detail -- make sure you have plenty of cold beer!

The quantity of adult beverages will not be an issue, I assure you! Thanks for the help. I will try it tonight and report back.

Did not work. I can watch previous games but the screen freezes at commercials. I get no sound t all. Trying to watch a live game it looks like it wants to go there, then the screen goes black. Suggestions?

I use a Bluetooth device called Chromecast to cast the picture from my smart phone to my TV. Works great. About a $30 investment.

I tried to stream the game through my Chromecast and it kept saying the game was blacked out in my area. I could play it on my laptop just fine, though. Weird.

w70, I had the same issue. I could see the game for about 55 seconds, then I got the Blackout message. I just kept re-loading the game and at the end of the first quarter, the blackout messages stopped and I could see the game. Thanks God, because my thumb was getting tired! Thanks, Whampas, for the Chromecast call. $30 atTarget.

Watched on ESPN3 and had no problems. Picture clear as a bell, but would have preferred listening to Black/Anderson rather than Picocci and O'Brien. They were awful. The radio broadcast wouldn't sync with the video though.
