Spiders hopefully about to knock off #6 La Salle in tonight's elimination game, leading 7-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth. Had a chance to add some more in the top of the inning, but left the bases loaded. Still, here's hoping a 5-run lead holds up.

Spiders would face the non-winner of tomorrow's opening game between #1 SLU and #4 X. Game time for UR would be 5:00 PM.

Great job to rally and get a win. We play the loser of X/SLU at 5 pm tomorrow.

We have a steep uphill battle but we still have 2 rested, solid starters available in Blum and Mayers.

We get the Top Seeded Billikens in another Elimination Game this afternoon.

as earl weaver said momentum is only as good as the next day's starting pitcher. in a way that probably applies to character too. you can have great character and your starting pitcher is bad and people might say incorrectly they didn't show character. reverse is true too. no character but pitcher was crushing it.

anyway these double elimination tourneys are virtually impossible to win after dropping the 1st game.
