Actually they are cool with each other. But yeah it’s a serious interest but not sure if an offer is out there. I haven’t asked her about him lately 😬😂

Probably good that Brown comes here first. Sometimes these players don't take all these visits due to the fast moving nature of the portal and comp for spots.
At first glance I don't think Suggs would be at top of our list. We're also in for too many grad transfers imo. Another is fine but u want some class balance too and we've seen it can take time w Moon system.

Thinking more and more Brown would be a good fit. Like that he was DPOY for league champ. 10 ppg is solid and would be fine if King and Roche score as expected. Could be a really good defensive unit wit Bigs, Brown and Dji.
Think Maddox is more talented probably, but like the sound of Brown.

Is there any personal connection we know of as to why Brown, a California guy who has been playing in Montana, would come all the way out here to play for us? Would like to get him, but it feels like a longshot unless there's some tie we don't know about.
Why would he play for Montana in the first place? Montana, Utah, Minnesota, and Virginia are all plane flights from California so I don't think there is that much difference.
Seems like someone who wants to experience other places. Why not come to the East Coast and enjoy better weather than Minnesota or Utah?
We'd have a great starting lineup with him in it. I think this team would easily beat last year's team. Much better offense and a better defense.

A starting backcourt of King and Brown would be a HUGE upgrade over our backcourt last year. Dji could come off the bench and play either position which I think fits and would benefit him better anyway. I'm not sold on Bigelow at the 4, would love another starting caliber front court player to come through in the portal. Bigs needs to work on his shot, IMHO, if he wants to start. Love his defense and rebounding ability.
Love the sounds of Brown, all around player. From his coaches words and video, is reminding me of one Eric English. Selfless player, could score more, but just does what is needed to win. I do think would complement any of our back court guys because can do a little (or lot) of everything. Article with some comments from coach:

If we did land Brown and Burton came back we'd again be 1 of the oldest most experienced teams in country. All 5th & 6th year guys likely starting. But that's ok bc apparently it's a prerequisite to win here.
IMO definitely a better lineup than last year's starting lineup. Though just reading G's post I like it but don't LOVE it making me think about what lies ahead in 2024-25. @GKiller I blaming it on you if the wife complains about larger consumption of brews than normal this early in the day.
I love Bigs as the starting 4 if we have the right pieces around him.

Not sure what happened to Maddox, but it is obvious no P6 teams wanted him. He left the team after 20 games last season for a family emergency, and his final 2 games before that, he scored 0 points in 20 minutes against Clemson and 0 points in 6 minutes against Duke. When asked in late February if Maddox might return, VT's coach said his family is doing much better, but the likelihood of him returning is not good.
Not sure what to think of all of that, but his performance took a big turn down from his 1st year to his 2nd, as his 2 point % went from 51.9% to 40.4%, and his 3 point % went from 50.6% to 32.3%. Without knowing the whole story, I don't want to just start throwing things out there, but maybe it's not that big of a deal that he didn't come here. Time will tell.

Out recruited by a rookie head coach. Has to be a style of play thing. Skinn says his team is going to play fast and win A10 championships and NCAA games. Apparently the coach is not reading from the GMU just compete playbook.
His dad was sick & on medical leave I’m guessing his numbers affected by it.
I was worried about him going to goo moos esp if couldn’t arrange a visit for a relatively local/regional guy.
He was the type of player with 2 years we should be on. Miss.
