Bit of an eclectic list. Maybe he thought we were the University of LongRichmond. He knows where he’s going because he set a commitment date of April 27th. The videographers must be pretty backed up churning out commitment videos for half of D1.

Not sure what you mean by tough Ply. Bamisile is not the type of player that Mooney is looking to add to his team. Four schools in four years isn’t a real college experience and not sure UR admissions would be very agreeable either.
And it begins.

Can’t blame Odom as he is simply trying to fill a roster at this point and Bamisile is a proven entity.
Agree. College basketball is changing, and we can’t ignore the transfer portal, but that doesn’t mean we need to take guys who want to play somewhere new every year. Part of what made the last NCAA birth special was that it was guys we had watched for years, and guys that we knew loved Richmond.Sucks that he went to VCU but UR shouldn't ever be a stop for mercenary players like him. Hope he shoots them out of every game.
Let's maybe wait and see how they do. There are as many negatives as positives with them so far.Ok so now VCU has more top 100 guys in one day than the history of UR, Odom is going to drive Mooney and richmond hoops further into irrelevance, which is right in Hardt and PQ's comfort zone.
Wake up and smell the roses Mooneyite. We all know how it is going to play out!Let's maybe wait and see how they do. There are as many negatives as positives with them so far.
Fortunately we don’t know but the possibility does not bode well. Time will tell whose right or wrong 🏀🕷️🕸️Wake up and smell the roses Mooneyite. We all know how it is going to play out!
You would “love” to get him? A little strong for a guy who shoots under 37% for Charleston Southern don’t you think?Would love to get Chavez.
Not if he makes us a better team, and I think he would. He made 89 and 79 3s the last 2 years at 36.6% and 35.1%. We need another high volume 3 point guy, so yes, I would love to get him. Same with Wilcox, who I would love to get also. Add those 2 and we become a lot better. You would “love” to get him? In 6 games against P6 teams the last 2 years, he was 19-49 (38.8%) from 3.Hmmm, seems SF pointed out that Bigelow's three point stats were skewed by one game vs non D1 comp. Chevez hit 10 three pointers in one game vs an NAIA opponent. Not ruling him out as helping, but curious as to what level of comp he has scored against. Did not get much run for Iona it seems?
LOL looking at his stats. You are talking about Chavez right? Going by Kenny less than those 3PTers made above? C Southern Kenny rank of #302 and #347 last two years. Listed at 6'2' 160?Not if he makes us a better team, and I think he would. He made 89 and 79 3s the last 2 years at 36.6% and 35.1%. Great but Mooney doesn't schedule those schools much and unfortunately we haven't made it to BigEast yet.In 6 games against P6 teams the last 2 years, he was 19-49 (38.8%) from 3.
23, please don't let 4700 skew your thinking. I think, THINK he's at his best with small sample sizes considering how much he defends Mooney with him being a good and the right coach for us going forward.Hmmm, seems SF pointed out that Bigelow's three point stats were skewed by one game vs non D1 comp. I will see if I was able to translate some of this correctly and respond. I agree Roche should have gotten more minutes. I also think the more shooters you have on the floor, the better everyone else becomes. So, yes, I hope we can add a guy like Chavez who can shoot, to a good shooter like Roche.LOL looking at his stats. You are talking about Chavez right? We have one already who by my thinking on paper better than this guy? Maybe Roche needed more than 18 MPG? And just my thinking but CSouthern ranked #357 and #338 defensively last two years. Now I'm thinking like you and don't see this undertsized 2 helping us out? That's because Mooney's thinking is he'll play a guy with Goose-like qualities over him way more?
PS With not having my second coffee we are talking about different guy please disregard above.
Don't worry.....23 will never have his thoughts skewed by me. And, I didn't realize 168-468 from 3 the last 2 years was a small sample size???23, please don't let 4700 skew your thinking. Thank you! You know what is sad is disregarding Roche and Bigs is that guys like for sure Noyes and possibly Walz couldn't get more minutes than having Goose and Grace averaging close to 30 minutes per game. Odds and probability before year started was very little chance Spiders made the dance. The two seniors already got their moment and thinking instead of 5% chance of march madness maybe 3% with Noyes and Walz playing more. Of course thinking cynically but achieving 55/45 ratio comes to mind.I will see if I was able to translate some of this correctly and respond. I agree Roche should have gotten more minutes. If Tyler comes back, and we want to play Bigs a lot of minutes, we HAVE to have quality shooting from our guards. Even if Tyler does not come back, we do, but my point is Tyler will get a ton of minutes if he comes back, and rightly so because he is so talented, but he hasn't been a solid 3 point shooter, so we need solid shooting from multiple guards to make us better. This would make Tyler that much better as well.
I was referencing your stats against P6 schools.Don't worry.....23 will never have his thoughts skewed by me. And, I didn't realize 168-468 from 3 the last 2 years was a small sample size???
Would love to get Chavez.
No question defense matters, and I think Roche was a lot better on defense than some might have thought, and maybe this guy could be as well. My thinking is we have spots available, so let's get some shooters in here, and if they are a disaster defensively, then they will get little time out there.Thank you! 4700, any issues looking at his defense on court? My advanced stats show him way worse than Roche or even Nelson with that regard. Looking at their team defense makes sense.
Cool. I hear you, but these were the 6 games:I was referencing your stats against P6 schools.
Fair enough. "Love" was a little overboard here. Maybe even a lot overboard. I would "like" to get him because he is a shooter and we need shooters. But, I see where you guys are coming from. I will save my "love" for the big time guys that would be 100% no brainer, go get this guy types. I will add I like Wilcox more than Chavez.Love? Only 36.5 shooter career that’s overall 2s and 3s. started just 13 of 31 last year on a very bad 10 win Charleston Southern team. 4th school tho not as bad as Bamisile bc he had to move up to d1. Only 1 year left. And bad defensively. Tho haven’t looked myself going by SouthJersey.
Idk feels desperate OR u know he’s coming here.
You are correct. "Love" was not the right word there. You would “love” to get him? A little strong for a guy who shoots under 37% for Charleston Southern don’t you think?
Old Miss summary Miss 93 GS 58. Miss subs played 41% of minutes. Your numbers tell story.Cool. I hear you, but these were the 6 games:
Ole Miss 2-8
Wake 3-6
GT 3-11
Clemson 4-8
Ohio St 3-7
VT 4-9
Wow, that's a lot of research. I already dropped my "love" for him. 😃Old Miss summary Miss 93 GS 58. Miss subs played 41% of minutes. Your numbers tell story.
Wake summary Chavez had two 3s in 1st half that ended Wake 47 CS 24 that ended 95-59. Wake subs played 44% of minutes. Guess I should give him good game offensively with 3PTers.
GT summary GT 85 GS 70. GT subs only played 24% minutes. Your numbers tell story.
Clemson summary Clemson 91 CS 59. Clemson subs played 46% of minutes. I give him good game offensively.
Ohio St first half ended OST 46 CS 22. OST that ended 82-56. OST subs played 44% minutes. Chavez had 4 1st half PTS but was 0-2 3PTA. Guess he had a good 2nd half offensively with 3PTers.
VT without question was his best game as you numbers point out with VT winning close one 69-64. Was 1-3 3PTA second half.
We all can spin numbers anyway we like but I think you know my feelings on just going by above numbers. He's a good player but honestly I think not needed here. You do know he's a RS junior?
Note .... you do see other than VT game opponents averaged 89 points against CS in those 5 games. Was Chavez responsible for any of it I do not know!
LOL thanks! So myself and majority of posters have given you lots more research on why Mooney should be replaced but I guess the "love" for him could be described as "endless".Wow, that's a lot of research. I already dropped my "love" for him. 😃
