The Fight in Ukraine and its Heroes

As Commander in Chief, Biden could have addressed all of these issues. Biden wanted to withdraw, before the anniversary of Sept 11. He made the decision, against the advice of his commanders and advisers. No, Joe Biden owns the Afghan debacle. His weaknesses cost Biden his domestic agenda and ultimately the Presidency.
I also add that Trump is about to make the same mistake with Ukraine. Americans hate losing wars. If Trump loses Ukraine, the strategic tragedy will be greater than Afghanistan. The danger to the world will be much greater. Europe will destabilize.

We are ready to stop Russia in its track. We can bring Russia to its knees. It's time.

Here is Lindsay Graham's letter to the WSJ....

America’s shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan didn’t merely damage our reputation; it set in motion aggression across the world....

Yet peace requires willing partners. While Ukraine has made clear it is ready for such an end, Russia has made more excuses than the market can bear. President Trump has asked Vladimir Putin to provide a term sheet outlining the requirements for a cease-fire, bringing the roadblocks to peace to a head. Depending on how Russia responds, we will know which course to take.

The Senate is prepared either way. I have coordinated with the White House on the Russia sanctions bill since its inception. The bill would put Russia on a trade island, slapping 500% tariffs on any country that buys Moscow’s energy products. The consequences of its barbaric invasion must be made real to those that prop it up. If China or India stopped buying cheap oil, Mr. Putin’s war machine would grind to a halt.

The sanctions bill has 82 co-sponsors. As Sen. Thune said last week, if Mr. Putin continues to play games, the Senate will act. I’m hoping for the best, but when it comes to the thug in Moscow, we should all prepare for more of the same.

After a weekend where Lindsay Graham and the US Senate threw down the gauntlet, Putin's cronies have all but said the peace deal advocated by Trump is dead.

The Russian press had declared Donald Trump's peace deal is "dying a slow death" as a key ally of Vladimir Putin mocked Western ceasefire plans by posting a map showing almost all of Ukraine occupied by Kremlin forces.

Newt Gingrich summarizes the approach the Trump Administration should take...

President Trump is right to be publicly exasperated with Putin. Putin’s deliberate use of violence against civilian targets for three straight days requires a response. American military aid to Ukraine should be dramatically increased in quantity, quality and freedom to use it anywhere including in Russia. The secondary oil embargo should be imposed to break the Russian economy

Who could have imagined that publicly belittling the president of the country being attacked and supporting the president of the country doing the attacking would have turned out to be a terrible plan? Oh that's right, everyone with functioning brain cells.

And if I never hear from that pathetic coward Lindsey Graham again, it will be too soon.
