Tim had his first rehab assignment today for the Padres' class A affiliate Lake Elsinore. Pitched 3 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs. Padres manager says he will need at least two more, perhaps three, rehab starts before he will be ready to return to Padres lineup. He has a strained elbow.

Tim pitches tonight against the Washington Nationals. Let's get out and support him.

Well, if Bryce Harper goes down as one of the greatest ofall time, TIM Stauffer will have his name go down as the first pitcher to give up a home run to him.

It appears Tim's season is over. He tried a rehab stint in AAA in early August and it didn't go so well. Apparently his elbow is still giving him problems. SD manager quoted as saying his season is probably over and they will evaluate over the winter. Not looking so good right now for his continued career in the bigs.

Tim had surgery to reattach a muscle in his elbow and is expected to recover fully by the time spring training begins. So things are looking up for him!

Tim certainly deserves a break (not a broken bone of course), let's hope he gets great rehab assistance.
