really enjoy the David v. Goliath aspects of this rivalry...JMU: one of Virginia and the South's fine public universities 100K's of fans and alumni...UR: one of America's greatest liberal arts universities with around 50K living alums and fans...
even their beloved FBS stadium, built with tons and tons of aluminum, seats 25K and fits perfectly on campus beside the interstate....dwarfs our cozy, little Brick House built with 625,000 bricks, which fits perfectly among the towering pines and brick architecture...
their fans complain about having thousands of student seats empty each week...we complain about having a few hundred empty each week...
they're still trying to decide which FBS conference best suits their program's needs: MAC, Sunbelt, USA, etc....we know who we are and the championships we hope to compete for every year...
this one could be a classic among the many that have been played in the last 30+ years...believe we'll have ourselves refocused after the tough debacle at Maine...no need to rehash what's at stake...
no question the Dukes are on a roll, but they have not faced a team like the Spiders since Nova...if Strauss comes back, and the offense functions even close to its level prior to his injury, we could score 40+...regardless we have risen to the occasion in big games this season and I expect it again...
I expect the Spiders to add another notch to the Dukes winless history at The Brick House...
