if there's any legs to the Donovan/NBA rumor, I assume Shaka holds off on any decision until that's settled.

Texas has stated that they want to settle this before the Final Four games start, ostensibly to be able to promote his hiring during the TV broadcasts. I think we will know something by Friday night at the latest.

Would not be surprised if Texas offered him a larger cash signing bonus if he decides before the games start this weekend.

SF, really disappointed that you did not post actual satellite photos of the tex-jet in flight. also check and see if you can flip the log book and ID the pilots. this is the most serious that shaka has been in the coaching musical chairs business but still have this feeling he is not going. it does show what type of school he is waiting on and interested in just in case he does not return to austin on the lear. be interesting to see if this donovan rumor is real or just imagined.

Why would a BIG time AD from Texas fly on a Learjet to see Shaka and not the other way around?Shaka ain't going.If he really wanted the job,he would have gone to see AD somewhere.He's waiting for Billy D move.Plus Texas AD may not be the most upstanding guy to work for.Dont see Shaka in boots and a 10 gallon hat.He'd be out of his element and comfort zone.

Donovan only has a 500K buyout? That seems rather cheap. They must have had to make it that cheap in order for him to stay. Leaving on his terms.

That being said, if Billy cared about his protege, he would make his decision sooner than later instead of keeping him hanging. Wonder if these agents (or whatever they're called) had some preliminary numbers worked out with the UF AD in case Donovan is leaving and hasn't officially announced?
