Richmond vs URI in-game

Yes, good way to describe it. Offense has no flow and on defense Spiders appear that nobody can stay on their man and always one step behind the play.

I've been watching Richmond basketball since 1969 and I can't remember a more frustrating team to watch. I've seen much worse teams but not this frustrating.

Hopefully, Alonzo is back for 2nd half, maybe we can notch another loss by only 1 or 2 points.

On the other hand, we may see yet another 2nd half, where Kendall ignores Terry, and drives to the basket without passing. Then maybe we can all happily revel in a blowout loss at home.

Rhode Island, like LaSalle, just seems bigger, stronger, more athletic.

TBS. yes RI is much bigger and stronger at every position. Better team then UR too, sad to say, and they have a plan, we do not.

anyone else tired of keep it close , offense for defense ..Seems like one has to take a chance with players that can score and see what happens over the course of the game ? How we could recruit multiple anemic offensive players is puzzling..but what the hell as my Dad used to say.

When I roll the dice at the table, I never play to keep close , I have a plan to win big not to lose little, because house always takes money away. I think Coach has to substitute this way because chance to win big is about end of season I think and I think he is playing to lose little now but will lose big at the end playing this way. We can all disagree also.

A couple Rhode Island turnovers, failed to help us at all. Four consecutive plays by Kendall and SDJ, who passed to no one, and failed to score. Kendall on two drives to the basket, which is absurd, he is unlikely to ever score against the Rams in that fashion. SDJ attempting 3s, one partially blocked.

I'm not a fan of the little guards. They are game, and skilled, but they hurt us, when they ignore their teammates.

Makes it tougher to get a stop on D as well. We had more length on the perimeter during the KA era.

Guards hurt us??????? LMAO!!!!!! Who the hell should they pass it to?????? Taylor????? Allen??? Adoda ????! Davis?????? All dead ends!!!!

Not a great half for Terry, he's had good looks in the paint, but can't make a basket. Little guys still think they're bigger than they are, the best that can happen, is they draw a foul. SDJ did just hit a 3, with no passing. But I think that's a bad strategy. No sign of Alonzo, who had an eye contusion in first half. We really need Terry and/or TJ to start scoring inside and draw some fouls. Rams have a couple of players with 4 fouls.

Can we possibly give Rhode Island easier buckets in the paint? Hard to see how we can come back, when Rams are scoring easy baskets with every possession.

2 more offensive rebounds lead to Rhode Island basket. We haven't had a stop in quite some time. We look like high schoolers, battling for rebounds, they are dominating the boards. We need Alonzo, but apparently, he's out for the rest of this game.

Mathews hit a big 3, following a Taylor missed 3, then Kendall wasted another possession by driving to the basket. At least Taylor fouled out, as he's disappeared as a scorer. Suddenly we've gone from one point deficit, to 7 point margin.. Time is running out.

Unbelievable, Rams missed a foul shot, and grabbed the rebound and made the basket. Pitiful;.

Anyone other than me embarrassed by our rebounding effort? Hey Matt, I'm a moron that thinks this part of Mooney's game sucks.

Wamp-- embarrassing , out played and out coached in every facet of the game. You would think RI is Kentucky or UVA today. Anyone want my season pass for rest of the year??

Kendall again driving to basket, is blocked of course, and we get the ball, leading to Anthony being fouled. Ridiculous, that we give him the green light to drive to the basket, he's totally dependent on the refs, bailing him out.
