Renewal deadline to keep current seats July 22nd.

Shouldn't there be some caveat/clause that if the team doesn't win a certain number of games that money from the coach's contract will be reallocated at a preset amount across the spectrum of season ticket holders based on the number of wins? Appears reasonable to me......................

The communication, itself, reads like some frustration has been heard by the AD...

In 2015-16, we showed our true Spider spirit by wearing red and showing our support for our Spiders as our average home game attendance grew to the highest it has been since the Dick Tarrant era (1992-1993). Even through the ups and downs, we were loud and proud and each moment we experienced together. We showed our passion and enthusiasm and we just plain had fun. We were truly One Richmond, United in Red.

In 2016-17, Coach Mooney, his staff, and student-athletes have never been more committed to getting our program back to the Big Dance. We have one of the finest recruiting classes in the history of Spider Basketball entering this summer-Nick Sherod, De’Monte Buckingham and Grant Golden. All three of these fine young men were all born in the great city of Richmond (Grant moved to Winchester, Virginia)! Nick, De’Monte and Grant will be bringing their family, friends and local communities to the Robins Center. We hope you are ready to welcome them to the Robins Center and create some new Spider memories that will last a lifetime!
Season ticket renewals for 2016-17 are available ONLINE NOW! If you renew ONLINE by our renewal deadline date of July 22, you will save on processing fees and earn a chance to win FREE 2017 A10 Tournament tickets. We are giving away 100 tickets! We also have some great new benefits for season ticket holders this year. Every season ticket holder will receive an exclusive FREE “RED OUT” tshirt. This year, you will be able to pick out your tshirt size, receive it before the start of the season and wear it proudly for our designated “RED OUT” games! Please make sure to check out all of the great 2016-2017 season ticket holder benefits!

New for this season, Spider athletics has partnered with Bruce Allen, UR alum and President of the Washington Redskins, to provide McDonald’s Spiderlings Kids Club FREE memberships and Spider athletics summer camp registrations to the children of Richmond-area first responders. When purchasing your 2016-17 basketball season tickets, please consider checking the box to make a $5 donation to this program. For more information on the McDonald's Spiderlings Kids Club, click here.

We thank you for your loyalty and support. See you soon in the Robins Center. We are One Richmond, United in Red.

"Ok, we F'd around for the past 5 years, but NOW WE ARE REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT WINNING! You have to trust us! Look at all these shiny new toys we have to play with! And they are all from here, too! Please don't leave us!! We haven't finished paying off the Robins Center renovations yet. Here, have YOUR OWN SPECIAL T-SHIRT just for staying!"

you guys read a lot more into that press release than I do.

It's not a press release, it's an appeal to renew season tickets. Show me the last season ticket renewal that uttered the phrase "even through the ups and downs" and I'll stand corrected.

Lol. This made me laugh out loud.

don't pretend to remember the details of previous renewal communications, but am surprised by no mention of TJ, ShawnDre' and Fore our strongest returnees...

its like we're starting all over...let's hope we find some new life through the frosh...

despite the frustrations of recent seasons, I will renew...

Good to know that "in 2016-17, Coach Mooney, his staff, and student-athletes have never been more committed to getting our program back to the Big Dance."

What the hell else have they been doing since 2011?

This explains why last year's season ticket renewal letter said: "Coach Mooney and his players and staff remain lukewarmly motivated to return to the NCAA tournament. Come and see for yourself!"

⬆️⬆️ CM will visit the concession area at halftime to autograph your food trays.

We've obviously been all of our resources to the Coaches' Cookoff. Which brings up an important question, can we hang a banner for that?

"Coach Mooney - the People's Champ, 2 Years in a row"

Since he lost to Will Wade the last 2 years

Half-assing it apparently.

I like the fact that they let you pay it in 3 installments interest free. I went ahead and paid in full, but I could see how it would be beneficial to those who just laid out a chunk of change for the Spider Club and have to cough up the cash for season tickets for hoops, on top of football tix a couple of months ago. Well worth it since it fills up my fall/winter calendar with stuff to do.
