Remaining relevant CAA Games for UR

Sagarin has the CAA in 4th, though the CAA is a little better than the UAC at the top. The bottom of the CAA is just worse. Ivy (non-participating) and SoCon are close behind the CAA.

"Dear Tarleton State,

We are in receipt of your request for reconsideration of playoff eligibility. Though it is thoughtful and relatively well-composed grammatically, no one on our committee has ever heard of you, and frankly we are unsure if you are even a real college at all. Therefore, with only modest regret, we must inform you that you will not make the playoffs, now or ever. May God have mercy on your souls.

Tarleton has had its appeal denied. Same with JMU and Jax State trying to shorten their FBS transitions.

Meanwhile, Herder believes a win over W&M may not be enough to get at at-large.

If Richmond beats W&M, it will be 8-3 with a ranked win over Rhody (ranked in the coaches poll that week). There’s also a chance the Spiders could earn the auto-bid, depending on the tiebreakers. If they don’t get the AQ, even at 8-3 the Spiders may not have the resume to get in. Richmond would not have a win over a team in the playoff field, and it hasn’t been ranked for the majority of this season.

CAA: No. 10 Villanova (8-2, 6-1) at No. 7 Delaware (8-2, 6-1)

Kickoff: 1 p.m. (FloFootball/Delaware Sports Network)

Notable: The winner is guaranteed at least a share of the CAA title and it could claim the conference’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Villanova has won eight straight visits to Delaware, and 15 of the last 17 overall meetings. Wildcats WR Rayjoun Pringle leads the FCS with 27.8 yards per catch, and it’s a 49.6-yard average over his eight TDs. With RB Marcus Yarns (14 TD runs, three TD catches) slowed by injury the last two weeks, the Blue Hens have been below 100 rushing yards for the only times against FCS foes.

The Pick: Delaware

—————————

CAA: Monmouth (4-6, 3-4) at No. 12 UAlbany (8-3, 6-1)

Kickoff: 1 p.m. (FloFootball)

Notable: In its 11th CAA season, UAlbany stands a win away from sharing the conference title for the first time. The Great Danes are the only FCS team playing 12 regular-season games, and it’s helped QB Reece Poffenbarger to a CAA-high 27 TD passes (WRs Brevin Easton and Julian Hicks have caught eight each). However, Monmouth knows offense as well, boasting the FCS leaders in rushing yards (Jaden Shirden, 1,429, 142.9 per game) and receiving yards (Dymere Miller, 1,243, 124.3 per game).

The Pick: UAlbany

Pretty crazy day

Other CAA scores isnt going how we want and obviously have to handle the Tribe first....but
VMI is up on #14 WCU in the 3rd 19-10
#18 Chatanooga is getting killed by Bama
#24 Lafayette up 28-21 over 2-8 Lehigh in the 3rd
#17 NC Central tied with Del St 7-7 in the first
#22 Tenn Martin losing 24-10 in the 2nd vs Furman.
Indiana St up early on #16 SIU.

Furman not playing well currently down 19-6 to Wofford to start the 4th.

VMI beating WCU, VMI just missed a 35 yd fg that would have pushed lead to 6 with 2 min.

Garner Webb up by 3 to Char Southern. UT Martin down by 14 at half to Samford.

ND St tough game at 5. Inc Word later.

Nichols won Thur, Duq off, Lafayette won, Drake won, NC Central up big. S. Ill up big. ND up 4.
