I don't even understand at all why that was considered a tough question. It seems pretty normal to even want to offer fans some thanks for support during these tough times. Seriously coach. You lose me more everyday.JOC is not a hard hitting shock journalist. He asks one difficult question from time to time, and the thin skinned Mooney gets pissed. I watched that interview, yes Mooney is still mad about that. Wish JOC had rode him hard the last 6 years, it does seem to be motivating him finally.
If I recall, one of Mooney's few team rules for his players is "DON'T BE A JERK". Evidentally, the rule doesn't apply to him as evidenced by his reaction to O'connor!I don't even understand at all why that was considered a tough question. I think it is over-reaction by message board people. I think Mooney and John are just being playful and I think in a way, Mooney was trying more to compliment the UR student on their question by making a joke to John at his expense. I don't think this is much of anything. Is this Mooney vs JOC an actual thing or just a message board overreaction? Is anyone else in Richmond commenting on it?
Post of the season, seems like he should follow his own advice. If I recall, one of Mooney's few team rules for his players is "DON'T BE A JERK". Evidentally, the rule doesn't apply to him as evidenced by his treatment of O'connor!
it's FMM fans looking for any "gotcha" moment they can run with. I think the fake outrage at this perceived JOC slight is pretty funny and I'm sure unnecessary, but to be safe SpiderNation might want to fund raise to send flowers in support. wouldn't want JOC to think his hard hitting efforts are unappreciated. Is this Mooney vs JOC an actual thing or just a message board overreaction? Or send JOC your favorite #FMM apparelsend flowers in support.
This domes up our situation to a T. We have truly a unique situation in college basketball on our hands at UR with chris Mooney.Saw this video and thought it was a pretty good summary of our situation. Watch up to the 2:30 minute mark and replace the words Marvin Lewis with Mooney, the Bengals with Richmond basketball, and playoff game with A10 Championship/NCAA tournament appearance (though Mooney has been to the tournament twice).
By the way, Marvin Lewis has been fired....
At this point, I honestly think there are no "fan" truthers left. The only ones defending this crap on here were S-man, 4700 and Ulla.Question I have for the pro-Mooney posters. They suggest Mooney has some quality pieces to work with, which I agree with. With that also stating Mooney hasn't done that bad in recruiting. Okay, if both are the case and after seeing what these quality pieces have done so far under Mooney, how can you not want these unfortunate, good kids given the opportunity to hear another voice guiding them?
We could get a bunch of T-shirts made and wear it to the VCU game.CB, I hope you don't mind I'm using your avatar. I LIKE IT, LOTS!

He shouldn't have let this get to A10 play. Longwood, Hampton, Oral Roberts & Wyoming should have been all the information he needed.Hardt is effing cruel. Put him out of his misery.
We're still Brothers in Arms.Contemplating Spider basketball reminds me of a favorite band from late 70s to 90s and one of their signature songs - our program is in "Dire Straits" and we are spending "Money for Nothing".
Know our team will fight valiantly again Wednesday. Go Spiders!

Nothing so complicated - he had no eligibility left at Yale.Kenpom's conference ratings do slightly change daily, but presently the A10 is at +0.82, just behind the Ivy league at +0.94. Wow! How far we have fallen. And just thinking about Noah Yates, played for Yale right. Yale presently 13-4 and #80 accordingly by Kenpom. Really improved from last year.
Wondering maybe Yates seen the writing on the wall and thought his playing time would dwindle staying at Yale? He could get more playing time somewhere else. Ended up with Mooney's team. I don't know, thinking, remember somewhere that some poster stated that a grad student only was leaving a school because he knew a frosh sharp shooter would be taking his playing time away.
I believe no redshirts of any kind in the Ivy League. If true would lead to more Grad Transfers...Nothing so complicated - he had no eligibility left at Yale.

Like the optimism coach, but so far not happening. Not winning much and not playing much bench at all.I think we will win conference games more this year. Now for Coach is that we have bench , for Coach to be in some game ways more aggressive I think
