This is getting a little bit ridiculous. Ya Mooney is a bad recruiter and has missed on a lot of guys, but Chiozza? The guy went on to play at Florida, there was no chance we were gonna win that recruiting battle. Same goes to Andrew White.
Yes, but AWIII transferred 17 times, and posters on this here lil ol message board saw him shooting jumpers and doing bench press in RC!!!

Hell I go and play around in the Robins center all the time when I'm home playing pick up games with buddies back home, do the same thing on the Robins stadium field. I live right down River road from everything at UR, but guess what I'm never going to school at UR unless maybe for grad school someday but doubt that will happen because UR doesn't have any kind of Agriculture majors.

Pitt Panthers in ACC play (0-15) are losing by an average of 20 points a game. Plenty of frosh playing this season but how much improvement can be made? Better chance Pitt or UR makes the NCAA tourney in next 4 years? UR gets my vote hands down! Change your mind son, PLEASE!

May sound stupid but I would honestly say Pitt has the better chance to go to the NCAA's in the 4 years.

Pitt has to beat good teams, we don’t.

If you didn't catch the end of the UVA/Louisville game tonight do yourself a favor and look it up. Maybe the most improbable finish I've ever watched. Uva was down 4 with 0.9 sec left and won in regulation. Unreal sequence of events to end the game.

I guess you didn't see the UR/Charlotte game a couple years ago.....

Just for fun - I used the RPI wizard on RPIforecast.com and switched Davidson's 2 losses to us to wins instead. Watching them play anybody other than us they have seemed to be a tourney caliber team. If they had swept us instead of the other way around they would be 20-9 with an RPI in the 40's (in the low 80's right now) and would probably be sitting squarely on the bubble.

Davidson has two super players and absolutely nothing else. But that is good enough for the A-10 these days. I have to admit I like watching Aldridge play. Old school Larry Bird type. Reminds me of a calm TJ.

Coach K defends "cheap shot artist" Allen. Better served not saying anything. The kid's actions over the years has reached the point of indefensible.

A simple google search will show you that Coach K is no role model. A great coach yes. A good person no

The yahoos on this board that say- "we'll never get him" as if they know we are
even recruiting the kid. They think they know that this is "the answer" to getting
us back to the sweet sixteen.
I wonder how many of those "we'll never get him" have proven to be failures here
or elsewhere? But, the "experts" never mention that.

Really like Painter at Purdue even though they almost coughed the win up late. A hard nosed discipline teacher without being the wildman Keady was on the sideline at times.

the problem isn't flopping. I'm all for guys taking a good charge. but refs are rewarding the defensive player EVERY time now. I swear, most of these were blocks not that long ago. now 80% of the time there's contact, it's a charge. and this officiating change is seen at the high school level now too. not sure who made this decision.

it's getting downright dangerous to drive to the hole with all the undercutting going on. and getting to the point where it's not worth driving with the risk of a charge. are they trying to make more teams just chuck up long 3's? if so it's working.

I know a lot of posters here hate our offense and the weave, but offenses this weekend were awful. a ton of standing around then chucking long 3's. it's pretty when they go in, but the percentages haven't been good.

It is still supposed to be based on the principle of verticality. If the defender has established his position, he has a right to that space, from the floor to the ceiling. That is plain and simple. The responsibility is on the offensive person, not the defense. Exception is when an offensive person first catches the ball. He/she has a vertical cylinder of space so they can start their offense.

you don't even have to be set anymore. as long as you take it in the chest, or near your chest, you can slide in as late as you want. that's not how it was called before.

Thinking about the Finnish verbal commit and his comment .....
“It shows me that everyone from HBA can make it if you try hard enough,” Gustavson said when asked about Markkanen."

God forbid he gets reshirted, does become a productive player and leaves for Europe after junior year. And what about Verbinskis? Comes along nicely as a good shooting SF the next 3 years for UR.

Believe the Euro students would be thinking of going pro somewhere in Europe instead of getting a graduate degree. Hopefully if Tomas pans out, he's not a highly motivated student.

This could be a valid point but I would be interested in seeing the data on this for all the other "student-athletes" from Europe for the past decade or so.

I’d prefer Verbinskis (and the new guy) be productive for three years and then have options for their last year, rather than ride the pine here for four years. If guys are leaving to go pro before their final season, it means they’re likely at least solid players

The same could be said about Khwan I suppose; I’m sad to see him transfer, but at least he’s a good enough player that he can transfer up to a P5. A recruiting miss would’ve sat the bench for 4 (or 5) years and collected their free degree(s).

I really hope someone is working very hard on Nate and AJ. Maybe Queally could send them to a “big man’s camp” in the off season.

Maybe Boogie Cousins can coach them up while he's rehabbing from his injury.
