Have never said this without Richmond being involved but I'm actually looking forward to a decent amount of these NIT games.

I'm going to be watching Vermont vs. Middle Tennessee State tonight without a doubt, and plenty of other good potential matchups that aren't just power conference teams.

I will probably catch a game or two just to see how the new rules they are experimenting with look in-game.

Boston College got thumped by Western Kentucky. I won’t even mention what happened to Vermont.

Are there really enough Mooney Truthers to field a team? I don't know that there are as many as some of you guys seem to think.
They are all redshirting this year. But just wait till next year, I hear those Truthers are going to be beasts next year.

and Yet another thread that devolved into Mooney truthers vs. fire Mooney out of nowhere. It is truly spectacular that every thread eventually comes to this!

Most of us have been here 10 years or more, so we are taking big-picture views of things, hence why we are not as invested in the minutia or whether JJ should play 6 minutes a game or 12. That stuff is more fun when we are actually competing for a bid.

I have to say I agree with the new guy here. It's brutal how every single thread turns into a fire mooney discussion. I'm on record for saying it's time to make a change, but for God's sake, can we at least try to talk about something else?

That seems pretty crazy to have 4 UR alums on the staff of one school. Pretty damn neat though! Didn't realize Kevin Anderson had finished his playing career.

McGeehan learned his coaching hires from Mooney. Hire guys who have all played under you and are already used to see you in a leadership role. Not a great way to develop a diversified coaching staff.

Head coach Mike Krzyzewski
Associate head coach Jeff Capel
Assistant coach Nate James
Assistant coach Jon Scheyer
Special assistant Nolan Smith
DBO David Bradley

Seems to work OK for coach K. And it seems to work at Campbell.

Campbell is 53-78 under McGeehan. That is a .40 winning percentage. Yep, it is working real well.

Jeff Capel was a head coach for 9 years in the NCAA and amassed a nearly .60 winning percentage in those nine year, taking his teams to 3 NCAA tournaments. Whereas, our associate head coach spent 1 year being an assistant coach at a D-3 school and then was another 2 years as an assistant coach in high school.

There is just a tad bit of difference there.

Would please stop with the apples to apples comparisons :D.

If the NIT had some sort of guarantee that the winner would make the NCAA tournament the next year if they had a winning record, I'm sure a lot of coaches would take it a lot more seriously.
