Biggest surprise of the tournament selection was only UVA out of ACC was selected with 5 Ivy teams being ranked.and 6 being selected. It has been since 1975 that ACC had only 1 team in the tournament.

Really enjoying that Dook and GoldDomers were excluded.

Our game won’t be played at Franklin Field.Penn played all their home games this season at Franklin Field except for their game with St Joe’s.

This is the field at Penn Park where we’ll be playing and which Penn played St Joe’s earlier in the season

Full LAX match Penn v St Joes

Ivy league is turning into the SEC Football of Lacrosse. ACC was foolish to let JHU defect to the Big 10, legitimizing the conference and giving Maryland a conference rival as the area abdicated the most fertile recruiting ground in the country to another conference. Only two leagues with at-large bids were IVY and Big 10. Cuse and Duke being down certainly didn't help and ND lost to some of the bubble teams. The obvious answer to fix their woes is to add us as a affiliate member. ;)

Thought the same thing - ACC might want to add us to get to six teams to have an auto bid.

(3) Penn vs Richmond

Penn has had one heck of a ride over the last week, or so. The situation played out for them to get into the Ivy League Tournament as the No. 4 seed and they made the most of it, putting on two of their best offensive performances of the season against Brown and Yale to claim the Ivy crown for the second consecutive time. This squad leaned heavily on Sam Handley and Dylan Gergar, as well as goalie Patrick Burkinshaw last week. LSM BJ Farrare has been playing close at times recently and is also a force to be reckoned with. Now, the Quakers will have to face SoCon champion Richmond. The biggest question is how the matchup between the Richmond D and Penn O goes. While Penn’s offense looked improved recently, the same can be said for the Spiders defense, which ranks 8th in DI (10 goals allowed per game) and headlined by freshman Griffin Kology, seniors Ray Baran and Jake Saunders, and anchored by Zach Vigue in cage.

Sam Handley is 6-5,230 attack

Sam Handley - Men's Lacrosse - University of Pennsylvania Athletics

Here’s a bigger offensive weapon than Handley.Gergar has 44 goals

Ironically, the Gergars were our across the street neighbors in Rehoboth Beach up until 2014 when we sold.I wasn’t even aware that their kid played LAX in Severn at that high level and our program was just getting off the ground. The father was often curious about UR nevertheless.

Containing Handley and Gergar will be challenging. Your connection with Gergar family brings it home!

We played against Burkinshaw when he was backup goalie for Virginia in 2019 and he had two saves in our two shots on goal against him. We will have our work cut out to score against him. He is very talented.

Spiders at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field for championship weekend would be nice!

Do they know the game is being played on an intramural field?
