I came across this, which lists Mooney's salary at ~$800,000. If this is accurate I believe that's a pay cut, which might give us some insight into the contract extension that was signed this past fall.

That data is from the 2017-18 fiscal year and the $799,962 is only his base reportable compensation directly from the university. He earned another $461,874 in "other" compensation from the university and associated entities.

This list has none of the other coaches even listed.

SF is all over this. But Spider20202 we won't see anything on the most recent extension for years, this reporting is years behind. Unless U of R was transparent like they should be and publicly announced contracts for their very highest paid personnel, with Mooney being typically the highest. The most recent year is here...

Mooney was at 2.241 million for July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019 although ~1 million was some type of deferred comp.

Right it won't because it's pulling from the 990. That is only required to show Officers, Directors, Trustees and a select other highest compensated employees. They have some discretion on last category I believe but someone like Mooney who makes far & away the most will need to be on there. In some years the football coach has been listed.
