Trust me, you don't want to be at this game. VCU fans are insufferable.
He’s redshirting too. Fact. Why I have no idea. Maybe so Mooney can keep for 4 years & then he transfers somewhere to play 5th year.
Can anyone who still cares to be supportive of this point please agree that if we're playing exclusively man-to-man and we constantly end up with B. Artis or Mikkel guarding a big on the block with no help that we likely aren't executing properly?

He got a foul because he obstructed the official from running the floor. I don't think it was anything he said.

Even the announcers said how we gave them a test. If u want to call 9 points w not much time left a test in a game we had no chance to win & out of it by 1st Tv timeout, then sure.

This wasn't a 50-50 block/charge.... and I understand the game situation. I'm clearly in the minority here, but if you don't take one there, IMO, you should never take one.
With all of that said, I agree completely, this is distracting from the bigger issue.
19 double digit losses out of 27. Can anyone make any argument Mooney is not the worst rivalry coach of ALL time? It’s beyond imaginable.

Agree - Surprise there was no foul
Disagree - Tackling the ref as he is headed up court normally earns a technical foul
Glad he apologized to the team and hope he remembers (and regrets) his early season post game comments when he blasted AP for an emotional mistake that also earned a T.
Just an awful time to take a T in that situation-we cut it to single digits, had momentum, had made multiple stops on D and you give them free points and the ball - game over as soon as that happened. We likely don’t win either way, but that made it pretty guaranteed not to win.

I was screened at my seat and didnt see the no call that led to the Moon T. But he was out on the court, I could see the spit coming out of his mouth as he yelled, absolutely warranted.
And he damn sure tried to get another one up until the final horn, kinda surprised he didnt.
Weird game. Obviously UR is undermanned. But shot 50 something percent in the first half and didn't defend anyone. And for the run they made late, the second half ended up being even. Had a few chances to get it from nine to 7 or 6, then the T and it's all she wrote.

We ran the same stuff, used the same lineups and absolutely did no pressing even when we were down 18+ for much of the game.
Why change it up when it’s (not) working.
I liked the part where Tyne was guarding Fermin in the paint after we went on our big run and Fermin dunked in his face. That was a great defensive call.
We are not playing man defense. It’s the switching man/matchup zone defense.

I think you can express your frustration without getting Td up. Usually those Ts come after you’ve been warned, so likely an accumulation.
Regardless, you actually can’t take a T at that point as you kill all momentum.
Not the first time we’ve seen that with Tyne on a big. And with 2 more reg seasons games left, we’ll see it again. Great Moon choice.

Lmao at the JOC game article. He says Spids have lost 16 of 21 to Vcu. Uh John just go with entire tenure 9-27. Literally any point of time u could look at & it would be terrible. Ok lost 16 of 21, that means we’ve lost 11 of previous 15 right b4 it. 5-16 & 4-11. It’s like a game swing, probably even less percentage wise.
