Lauletta to the Giants

Looked comfortable, nothing spectacular, made some good throws, no bad throws, closest thing to a mistake was not reading the corner blitz as fast as perhaps he should have, although he did get rid of the ball. Pretty solid performance especially since started at 10 yd line at least 3 of the series he played. Announcers certainly believe Kyle is challenging for the #2 spot.

Webb looked atrocious. All of his completions were check downs to running backs. His throws to wr and te were not even close. Kyle held his own and looked much better than Webb, at least on this night. Kyle's best throw of the night isnt reflected in the stats as there was pass interference on the play that resulted in a 20 yard gain.

The pass intreference was because of Kyle's throw. The announcers kept saying he throws a catchable ball.

yes, that was definitely a perfectly placed ball, only the receiver could catch it, and almost did despite the interference. Probably his best throw of the night.

The Giants are going to see what we all know- that Kyle Lauletta is an NFL caliber QB. I would even bet that he not only plays during the season, but he beats Davis Webb for the #2 spot.

Davis Webb made several mental mistakes during the game- like at the end of the first half. The Giants were close to, or in FG range, and he threw a short pass over the middle. The receiver caught it and was immediately tackled. The announcer pointed out Webb's mistake. There were no timeouts and no way to stop the clock.

Kyle looked very comfortable in his first NFL game action. Webb looked skittish and not comfortable. Hopefully KL will get more reps with the twos in the next game.

Kyle played 3thQ and 6 mins of 4thQ.Rushed for 1TD.2/5,30 yds,2 dropped passes.

Webb played 1st half.14/20,140 yds,1TD

That is sugarcoating Kyle's performance last night. Two of his three incompletions were well overthrown to open guys. The third was also off the mark and not a catchable ball even though the receiver got his fingers on it. I wouldn't call any of them drops. He had one really nice throw into tight coverage. He definitely took a step back throwing the ball last night compares to week 1 and also had a delay of game penalty. Kyle was able to show off his athleticism with his TD run and a key "block" on Gallman's TD run.

Is Brian hurt? I noticed that 19 different players for Detroit caught passes but none of them named Brown.

Repeating what Detroit announcers said live.Got Detroit feed. What you call the drops/misses doesn’t matter.Davis goes to #2 with his showing.Nice that you mentioned Kyle’s athleticism.Very nice of you.#54
for Lions got ACL on KLs abrupt change in run direction.

Video below has all plays from Webb and Kyle vs Detroit. Kyle comes in around the 5:30 mark.

Are we sure this is the same Kyle Lauletta we knew and loved. In what is often stated to be the much 'faster' NFL he's juking some defender? Who is #17 and what did he do with the real Kyle?

Whoa!...KL learned these moves as a Spider...remember this play against Delaware last season?...he didn't juke just one guy, but beat four to the end zone!

Enjoy this one again...

Go KL...Go Spiders!

I really wonder how much more effective the running game would have been earlier in the year last year if Russ let Kyle carry the ball 5 times a game from the start of the season. I understand the hesitation to do so coming off the injury but Kyle's athleticism and ability to run the ball was under utilized until late in the year. That then opened up some more opportunities for the RBs.

Giants play Pats tonight in final preseason game. Likely the last time we’ll see Kyle play in a game this year.
