I think the team and fans both would welcome him back. But you can’t pull a scholarship from someone else to bring him back. And we don’t know that he would even want to come back

If he goes to Bakersfield then that says that outside of UT there was not anything open closer for him to home or he is now just
desperate to play.

"How many of you that sit and judge me,
Ever walked the streets of Bakersfield."

He may still wind up at Tennessee.

I thought maybe the spot was no longer free when Admiral opted out of the NBA draft, but TN has two spots open.

I don't recall seeing an announcement from TN.

Fore is still considering Tennessee among others.

Richmond transfer Khwan Fore (@khwanfore_said) planned to transfer to Tennessee in the fall. He told me today he is reopening his recruitment. He averaged 11 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 2.7 apg last year.

"still considering Tennessee" is very odd. that would imply Tennessee didn't back out ... Khwan did.
he better have something up his sleeve.

That is starting to sound like a soap opera. What in the world is Kwan really wanting? I starting to agree he just needs to go overseas and start making some jack.

This is the latest from the UT board:

Interesting post by Basilio today:

The back-story here is academic. This is interesting since Fore fulfilled his requirements to graduate from Richmond, a terrific academic institution. Sources inside of UT's athletic department told me that they thought this 'isn't anything that can't get worked out internally.' Apparently Fore was taken aback and offended when he learned of the snag.

I'd probably be a little offended too.

speculating ...
UT: Looking at your transcript, there are a couple of things we need to look at further before admitting.
KF: Excuse me? That's the University of Richmond label there.
UT: I'm sure it'll be fine, but we'll need a couple of days to review.
KF: OK, you've got a couple of days but I can't wait beyond that.

Payback for Clawson saying the UT football players were too "slow" to pick up his offense.

K, believe it could be academics as many grad schools mandate a 3.00 average. In many instances for example a 2.90 would not work. Don’t know Khwan’s GPA, but this could be an issue.
Seems like someone should have mentioned that to him, before he started.

I have serious doubts about him playing for money. If he can convince some team to pay him great, but there are an awfully lot of guards with better skills.

Homer, one may be surprised as the pros love speed and showy athleticism, both of which Khan has copious amounts.

May not necessarily be at the highest level, but there is definitely a place for him somewhere in pro basketball overseas if he wants it.

Know from a former Spider that has played overseas for several years that the pay isn't much unless you're in the highest leagues, plus your agent will get 10%.
