Yep, you're exactly right. And the fact that he would give up a starting spot here to take a reduced role elsewhere says all you need to know about our program.
Obviously

I haven’t watched any Louisville games. Is Khwan playing PG when he’s in?
If you had the opportunity, why would you not move to an ACC school and get to play in the best basketball conference in the country?
Tennessee is #3 in the country... not an indictment on Kwan to be linked to Tennessee before ending up at Louisville. Maybe I don’t get your point.I'm a Kwan fan, but let's not forget that Louisville was NOT his first choice, he was all lined up to transfer to Tennessee when something there didn't work out, and he ended up with Mack at Louisville. Louisville not a bad second option, but it's certainly not a case of Kwan wanting to be at Louisville from the get-go.
So yes, because he is an ACC-caliber athlete, he has an unique opportunity at L-ville. But he left UR because he wanted a better chance to contribute to a winning program and possibly the NCAA's. If we had any chance to dance, KF would have probably stayed in Richmond. Can't blame him one bit for doing what he did, and best of luck to the young man.

Nobody gets it. The usual negative crap. If you had the opportunity, why would you not move to an ACC school and get to play in the best basketball conference in the country? He is starting at guard and playing in packed, fantastic arenas - like today, Louisville won at UNC. Louisville will go to the NCAA and he will have some great memories playing against future NBA stars. This move was more about a great opportunity than a slam on UR.
If he had stayed at U of R he would have been remembered and considered part of the U of R family for a very long time.

He is not THE reason UL pounded UNC today.
This statement is a real steaming pile! His contributions during his four years at UR have already earned him consideration for the "U of R Family". If he stayed one more year, and we continued in the CM tradition of sub-.500 basketball, it would not have enhanced KF's reputation with the fans one iota.

Kwan will ALWAYS be a part of the U of R family. He not only was a valued member of our basketball team, but he’s also a fellow Alumn. He is a great player and a big loss to U of R, but saying a player should transfer if he is capable of making an ACC team is complete BS. 5 years from now no one will remember him at Louisville. If he had stayed at U of R he would have been remembered and considered part of the U of R family for a very long time.
The people who don’t welcome him back can be shown the door. I hope with all my heart that Kwan always feels comfortable at Richmond. Some people will welcome him back and others will not. My guess is he will not feel comfortable returning.
Admiral Schofield decided not to turn pro.he was all lined up to transfer to Tennessee when something there didn't work out
Some people will welcome him back and others will not.
Do you know him personally - enough to make that statement? Just curious? Some people will welcome him back and others will not. My guess is he will not feel comfortable returning.
Every time Kwan shines on the bigger stage, he still makes us look good!!!Kwan will ALWAYS be a part of the U of R family. He not only was a valued member of our basketball team, but he’s also a fellow Alumn.
Clearly he knew we had no chance to make the NCAAs or else he would have stayed here. That's the indictment on our program. We had an ACC-caliber player here and couldn't keep him. And some among us believe we are better without him. Asinine.

#UnitedinRedYou know what? We should re-litigate this after every Louisville game. That will be awesome!
Sudden thought...#UnitedinRed
This reminds one of the Andrew White III discussions here several years ago. It went on and on, without a point and without end.
Kwan is appreciated there also as on one play he was guarding Dorn who tried to run Kwan into a screen and get into the lane. Kwan cut below the screen, beat him to the lane and forced him out of the lane and made him get rid of the ball. The fans went nuts as though he had hit a last second three. Kwan is appreciated and he still does it with class and is still so humble. I will always be a Kwan Fore fan. You're the one who looks like a fool here to everyone but yourself. Yes, Khwan is an ACC-caliber player – as evidenced by the fact that he starts for an ACC team. But nice stretch there trying to imply that anyone compared him to the BEST ACC player, Zion Williamson. Give me a freaking break dude.
Yes, Khwan did better with us. He would have continued to do very well for us, as a starter (despite what you think). The point is that he was willing to give up a starter's role and starter's minutes here to go play a lesser role for a better program. Because he knew we had zero chance of making the NCAAs. Again. As per usual.
