Yeah, I liked Fore. I wish he was still here. But his free throw struggles were a mystery to meit's going to work out fine for both parties. Woj brings a different dimension that I think we all see we need.
Fortunately his departure has cured that problem.Yeah, I liked Fore. I wish he was still here. But his free throw struggles were a mystery to me
KF had his reasons for leaving.
Telling that he would rather spend his final year playing a reduced role at a top program for a chance at the tournament instead of a featured role here, isn't it?
When was Khwan ever our #1 point guard? He would have played 35 minutes a game this year, that’s the point. He would not have had a featured role here this year. Did you not see the game Jacob had last night? Who do you think is the better PG?
I grew up in Louisville, and was a UL student in the late 70's so you might have a rival for the "biggest UL fan here"I'm the biggest UL fan here and it's not close. UL has less than 0 chance at the tournament. Long climb back to "top program" status but appreciate the sentiment.
KF had his reasons for leaving. Respect them but not sure why we post updates on him or others that leave the program.
Tonight, he played 14 minutes, took no shots and scored no points. IMHO, he will have a lost season, as his playing time falls even further this year.

Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana, and Notre Dame all within 75 miles. Not to mention Purdue, Indiana State, Butler, Western Ky., and all the other big time programs close by. The basketball, the coaching, and the National Championships were amazing.
I am confident that Coach Mack will have the Cardinals back in NCAA title contention soon. May not be this year, but it won't be long.
No way. We are way better with Wojcik playing alongside Jacob. This would be a no brainier if Khwan were still here. But, sure, it would have been nice to have him here backing them up and playingWhen was Khwan ever our #1 point guard? He would have played 35 minutes a game this year, that’s the point.

You're insane. No way. We are way better with Wojcik playing alongside Jacob. This would be a no brainier if Khwan were still here. But, sure, it would have been nice to have him here backing them up and playing
Maybe you want a 6'0 off guard who cannot shoot and who allows the defense to play off of him and clog the lane to play 35 minutes for your team, but I sure don't for mine. Even though he is a senior, and Wojcik is only a freshman, we are much better with Wojcik on the floor.
Love Khwan, but you are spot on VT, we are much better with Wojcik playing opposite Jacob. No brainer. No way. We are way better with Wojcik playing alongside Jacob. This would be a no brainier if Khwan were still here. But, sure, it would have been nice to have him here backing them up and playing

Well, we’ve already equaled our OOC win total from last year, so empirically I guess we are better without him than with him.Love Khwan, but you are spot on VT, we are much better with Wojcik playing opposite Jacob. No brainer.
You're insane.
I think if they were both here, kwan and wojick would be coming off the bench. The big difference in the starting lineup this year is Cayo, and his athleticism and height/length.There are some posters on here who are winning gold medals in mental gymnastics explaining how we are better without Khwan and Buck.

It’s still absurd to suggest that we would not be a better team overall with him on the roster.

????????????????? Better than who?We are better without Khwan and Buck. If you still do not see this, you will see as time goes on, although I know you will never admit this.
Moore High School off of I-65 and the Outer Loop.Love it!!! Where did you go to school?
Better than the 12-20 team last year.????????????????? Better than who?
That’s wonderful! Congrats!!!My dad grew up at Fern Valley & Outer Loop. Went to St. Rita's. I went to St. X.
we'd be better with Khwan as a role player coming off the bench adding to our depth..
maybe that was discussed, and maybe that's why Khwan is no longer here.
Also look at our bench this year. JJ is again doing nothing, only to be helped out by Yates who is somehow doing less than that. And then we have, oh, that is all we had. We only played 7 players against IUPUI.Completely agree with you on the first part of your statement that Khwan would be better off coming in from the bench. However, realistically had he stayed, Mooney would've started Kwhan next to Gilyard instead of Wojcik.
I agree with 4700 and others to some extent who have stated that we are better off without Khwan. I agree we are better off when Khwan and Gilyard aren't on the floor at the same time for significant minutes. Both are shorter guards and both do best with the ball in their hands. If I had to choose to put the ball in Gilyard's hands or Khwan's more, it would be Gilyard. However, Khwan would have been a great asset for us this year if Mooney decided to have a lineup of best team chemistry and not a line up of the most individually talented players. That is why I am worried that next year, having a lineup of both Francis and Gilyard on the floor simultaneously (though both great individually talented players) isn't most conducive to the team chemistry even though we will have more depth of players who can contribute significantly.
Losing Buck is a big loss any way you put it. He was an all around player and gave this team a spark on both ends of the court. We are certainly not a better off team without Buck.
