What's your source? Mine says that's not really true. My source is one of his current players. Admittedly it's just one player. He is a players' coach!
Would you want to move from RVA to Delaware? May have one or two stay behind, it won't be any more than that.I understand a fair number of the staff want to remain at Richmond. If we get Huesman he may give Danny a surprise
It's hard to tell. Know guys well that played for Reid, Clawson & London. With each coach there were guys that loved them and some that didn't. A lot depends on the individual player. What's your source? Mine says that's not really true. My source is one of his current players. Admittedly it's just one player.
I really hope you are right. Just not what I've heard.Time will tell, I have heard 6 names, but will not mention for obvious reasons
That explains the quality of his writing.Woody has undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from VCU. Need I say more?

Fontel is going with Danny. Remember a new coach brings his people in so staying unless there is a preset deal is risky bizFontel is from here. I hope we give him a good reason to stay. I imagine he'd rather stay than go to Delaware if he can help it.

Fingers crossed he is good but I go back to my statement that a new incoming coach makes final decision on staffHe may end up going with Danny but i have heard this is somewhat in doubt.
I think they all go with Danny and get a decent raise. I don't want to be redundant but staying or leaving is in the hands of the new coach with few exceptionsAny thoughts on Garrett?

So nobody knew Scott had an alcohol problem? How is that possible? A head coach with a drinking problem is a horrible situation. He took over a team that was one 4th down stop away from a national semifinal, got some FBS transfers to replace graduations, and went 6-5.
He wasn't "that bad" but was probably the wrong man to start the on-campus era.
They say 'guy we wanted' because they can and it's makes them feel and look good.... that is not saying it's true. I mean what do you want the school to say...'we got our fifth choice'?Correct me if my memory fails me, but hasn't every recent hire in football been the "guy we wanted?"
Clawson, London, Scott, & Rocco were all the first name I remember being bandied about.
So now that Huesman's offer has leaked, Gill can't afford to lose him. Otherwise that would be our first rejection in quite some time.
That does explain a lot. The only time that Woody is really interested in UR is when things go bad. It's been that way as long as I can remember.Woody has undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from VCU. Need I say more?
Ok one more time....it's not DR moving around, it's the why he left UR for the same position in UD. The admin won't give us any info, which is their choice, so it leaves us to make assumptions. The Not1 comments give us some insight. If the telecommuting AD is accurate that's another reason to believe it the Admin that's the problem. I want Richmond to find the best coach possible quickly.....but I don't want to let the Administration off the mess they created without them making some serious changes, otherwise the same bull will repeat again and again. There are issues, but we are not a dumpster fire. Some of you need to step away from the ledge. KG has some people helping/advising him at the present. I also understand the coaching world is excited about our opening. I would suggest some of you take a little time to look at DR and his history, not sure why he likes to move around, but it is in his history.
It was so bad and so obvious the Campus police had a standing offer to pick him up when he needed it.not sure if we knew scott had an alcohol prob or even if he does, did know that he had a prior DUI and he was told directly, if that happens again, you are history and he was. many people receive DUIs and don't have an alcohol prob, wrong decision, wrong place, wrong time.
My prediction is that we make no real push for him at all. And remember, he and Danny are tight - - Danny is going to talk to him and I don't think what he has to say is gonna be real complimentary about the opportunity here!
How did you get that from my post? My recollection is that they knew and hired him anyway on a "no strikes" policy. So nobody knew Scott had an alcohol problem? How is that possible? A head coach with a drinking problem is a horrible situation.
