Gilly in the NBA

Not his best showing...10 points on 4-of-8 including 2-for-3 from deep, but five turnovers and only one assist and one steal.

The Charge fall in a rematch with the Mad Ants. Gilly with just 5 points on 1-of-6 shooting, but 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 boards with no turnovers. Here's his lone field goal, a transition three:

Beyond that highlight where Gilly was credited with a rebound rather than a steal, he tied with a team-high 18 points last night and was 5-for-9 from deep. Four boards, three assists, a block, and only one turnover. Unfortunately, the Charge did drop the back-and-forth game 107–100 as Sioux Falls hit their free throws in the final minute.

Scoreless night with only three shots for Gilly in another loss to Sioux Falls, despite playing 35 minutes. He did have 6 assists, but no boards, 4 turnovers, and 5 fouls. On another semi-positive note, he was the only starter with a positive +/- at +1.

Catching up on Gilly's performance from last night and he seems to have found his assist machine form from last season...13 dimes to go along with 7 points and no turnovers in a win over Windy City.

Gilly missed today's 120–109 loss to Motor City with a thumb injury. Not sure how long he's out for.

Gilly is finally back after missing almost a month with that thumb injury. 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, but the Charge got blown out in the second half by SLC.

Apparently Gilly got tossed early in the second half of his first game for a pair of unsportsmanlike technicals.

"The rules are a little different," says Gilyard in an interview with "Freie Presse". No one would have been sent off the field for the foul in the third quarter in the USA, he says. "From my point of view, two players are fighting for a good position, I don't even know if that was a foul at all." The playmaker, for whom Chemnitz is the first station ever outside of North America, is also immediately insightful. “I'll learn from that and do better in the next game,” Gilyard promises.

Wow - perhaps he can get a few German lessons from the retired Poli Sci professor Dr. Gunlicks.
