Looking forward to being back in the Robins Center and watching hoops. I have no idea what the team will look like since it is nearly a start from Ground Zero. I just hope to see the early development of some team chemistry that leads to an identity.

In game one, hoping to see a big lead that allows some of the frosh to see the floor for spot minutes, but I know that is a pipe dream.

Let’s take the pulse of the Forum with a simple poll. I’m also looking forward to discussion based on actual game play versus what ifs.

One vote and I will let you be anonymous.

Go Spiders!

I say by more than 21. VMI likes to run, so we should be fine playing fast and should score 80+ points. High 80s to low 60s (if that) sounds about right to me.

Last year's line was RICH -22.5, will probably be around the same last year. VMI was picked last in the SoCon and 11 of their 17 players are freshmen.

FWIW,

Torvik
#163 UR by 22 over #362 VMI

KenPom
#126 UR by 17 over #349 VMI

I am going something like this on offense:
King 24 points
Hunt 10
Dji 8
Quinn 17
Noyes 6
Bigelow 9
Probably will go ahead and load manage Quinn:
Walz - 1
Soulis 3
Tyne - 6 (2 3's) Nostradamus23 special
Smith/Tanner - 3

87 point opener (only counted once) should keep us happy until game 2.

Thx I thought u meant a real site! Espn last place I’d trust.
yeah normally in the past they used Caesars lines but that may have changed with the Penn Gaming / ESPN.Bet affiliation that is about to go live.

You’re right. Caesars has the spread at -17

I thought ESPN was still using caesars but you must be right about that as well

Anybody else pumped for the start of the season?

We suck

Mooney sucks.

We don't know how to properly use a time-out.

Our last-second shot approach sucks.

Quit sitting on a lead.

Quinn is soft.

Why isn't Roche starting?

Our students suck.

Just getting a head start on the upcoming season. ;)

When I read this post I thought that little nap I took lasted until Tuesday and I missed the game until I got to the last line.

I'll admit I was back on board and more hyped at the start of last season. Coming off an NCAA year, Burton returning, some well sought after transfers, Nelson learning behind Gilly etc, I thought Mooney playing with house money and had top end A10 talent. But couldn't put it together. So expectations are lower all around, media included. Maybe we will surprise. We have some talent. Not liking the sounds of a more softer gentler Mooney, but maybe with guys like Hunt leading that part will take care of itself.

Agree 23 this will be a tight one since we have a new team puzzle to fit
all the right pieces.

Close game at halftime, the doom and gloom begins. But we pull away in the 2nd half, but not by much.

UR wins by 13.

77-64

Should be a packed house, looks like demand is through the roof 😱
