Kudos to the staff for putting together a pretty solid NC schedule on the fly. Looking over on the VCU website it looks like they are limiting capacity to 1k per game. Will be curious to see if we follow suit with that number or have it reduced.

Really solid job by our schedule makers. Said this earlier but I think our OOC is really strong and ENHANCED by the fact that most of our OOC are away games. That should help us with the computers.

Debbie Downer alert: Original home opener would have been last night.

I agree w Mooney NCAA really should have kept that start date to provide a buffer for inevitable rescheduling issues to come.

Lots of preseason league polls coming out...here's where our OOC opponents stand:

Detroit Mercy: 9th of 12 in Horizon
Morehead State: 8th of 12 in OVC
Kentucky: TBA, but near the top of SEC
Charleston: 6th of 10 in CAA
Furman: 2nd of 10 in SoCon
Northern Iowa: 1st of 10 in MVC
West Virginia: TBA, but near the top of Big 12
Vanderbilt: TBA, but near the bottom of SEC
Hofstra: 1st of 10 in CAA

hate to be a downer but really don't like 4/5 last conference games on the road

Some quotes here from McGlade...A-10 has a lot of authority to adjust scheduling on the fly, changing dates and locations, or setting up pods if need be.

A-10 tourney still scheduled for Barclays, but the field could be reduced. A-10 also leaving the door open to give regular-season champ the NCAA auto-bid if things get disrupted.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

The NCAA set the start date where they did because the working thought at the time was that there would be a number of mini-bubble tournaments at the start of the season and the Thanksgiving week was when such events could start.

Of course, the events envisioned did not become reality. Even though I wish the season had already started, I don’t see how it could have started when most schools didn’t even have final schedules until this week and there are probably some who are still figuring things out. College football was a mess with different leagues starting at different times. Why repeat that scenario for basketball?

...and the Ivy League has canceled winter sports. Not to mention the other teams that are having cases that are already putting their season openers in jeopardy.

Without Nick I don’t see an Avenue to 22-5 unfortunately. My best guess right now is probably 19-8, maybe 18-7

I see 22-5 as well, early season loss to Northern Iowa causes board melt down and FMM to rear its pretty head. The team bounces back strong with an 8 point road win at WVU, Gilly, Francis and Wilson shread the vaunted PressVirginia, making it look like its weak sister named Havoc.

Spiders are included in a shortened 32 team bubble and advance to the elite 8.
