Fordham

Gg to all spiders. SdJ looked very determined thought he lead the team to victory as the commentary stated same.

1. The D was much improved, both in terms of intensity on the base D and with switching it up. We played a good amount of press, some man, some zone, and then the base D of course.
2. Fordham got Rhoomes involved in the 2nd half and we had no great answer to him, as was the case in our prior two games. Fortunately they went away from Rhoomes in the final 10 mins in part because we were bracketing him more and it changed their offense.
3. Was impressed that there was good ball-sharing between TJ/SDJ/KF/TA. No one had a beast game, but collectively they were hard to stop. SDJ showed a lot of poise with the ball down the stretch and made some nice plays.
4. In spite of the stinky start to the 2nd half, I thought the gameplan showed a lot of variation from prior games. Different starting lineup, a lot more variety on D, more energy overall.

Our press was relentless. Fore is a big time gamer. So athletic. Our defense showed up, we played with passion and intensity, dove after balls and fought until the end
With where Fore is now, which is really really good & exciting, just imagine his upside. He could have 4 really impressive years. Major contributor on both sides of the ball.

TA is struggling but hit some big foul shots. I thought CM do a good job of subbing. JJ played very good but is a little foul prone but he got stuck covering Rhome a few times.
The one thing that hurt us was also getting away from going down low or giving TJ and TA enough touches. I thought we boxed out and rebounded as well as we had in a while
with a lot of blue shirts around the ball.

Did anyone notice how long SDJ, KF and JJ were on the floor simultaneously? I just watched the highlights and I think I saw them on the floor together a decent amount. It is interesting that playing 5'11, 6'0 and 6'3 together could be a pretty good defensive lineup.

Also, Khwan looked so good in the highlights. Having him here for 3 more years is going to be awesome. Lets hope some of our incoming freshmen will be able to make similar contributions in their freshmen year.

I am glad Julius had a good game. If he can start hitting the 3 with consistency he will be getting a good amount of playing time next year. He has been averaging 15 minutes per game over the last 5 games.

Couldn't watch the game, but nice to hear they didn't fold up the tent after they blew the big lead and then pulled away at the end.

Nice Job!!!!!

yeah, JJ found himself with the job of boxing out Rhoomes a few times. that didn't go well. tough assignment.

Loved the first half fast paced, moved the ball really well when in the half court offense plus aggressive D. Got the ball to TJ and TA easily.
Second half we got away from the fast pace and had very little penetration until late in game. Was that by design or a change in Fordhams defense...or both.

First time in a long time the team played with extra energy, moving their feet on D, crisp passing, and we played like our lives depended on it. Leave it all on the floor fellas lets get after Dayton!

Many claimed that this team had given up, and would be mailing in their efforts. Demonstrably not true.

We need Terry Allen to finish some shots. We also need TD and DT to not attempt 3 point shots. If that happens, we could make a run in this tournament.
Not sure why the Masonry twins keep shooting the 3 point bricks.

we shot 4-16 from 3 including 0-4 from SDJ and 1-4 on wide open ones from Terry yet you focus on Deion's one 3 pointer. you're remarkably consistent, K.

Thought Deion had a good game. In fact, IMHO he has been playing very well as of late. OSC

Deion has been MUCH better around the basket on offense this year than he was last year. Maybe his back bothers him less, maybe he's been working on it more, who knows. But he is finishing layups and dunks most of the time, and he's even made some nice jumpers down low. We could use three more games of that this week.

Yep, he is shooting 71% from 2 this year which is downright ridiculous.

Yep, I saw 4 years of that consistent unguarded wide open side spinning crap he throws up. Sorry, I am just tired of it.
