How many plane trips will a daktronics scoreboard buy us? I'd rather look at the espn gamecast on my phone while i'm sitting in Robins Stadium and get these kids flights to all their road games.425 mile bus trip; budget budget budget!!! our next head coach will have to accept fed wage which is $7.25 per hour. but because of the university's commitment to athletic excellence we could go to $10.
I just don't understand why you can't do both. The athletic ambivalence is tiring. How many plane trips will a daktronics scoreboard buy us? I'd rather look at the espn gamecast on my phone while i'm sitting in Robins Stadium and get these kids flights to all their road games.
Here we sit next to last! We need a new coach and AD !Host Stony beat #14 Blue Hens today.

I fear we're headed to D3.We need a new Game Day Director, too. The enthusiasm in the stands is pitiful.
This was covered a lot in another thread but we haven’t had the same Game day atmosphere since we moved into Robins Stadium. Certainly the biggest factor is that we had really good teams the last few years at City Stadium but Robins just feels antiseptic from the lack of student attendance/support to the stands being further away due to the track. We’ve also lost a lot of the local fan support that would fill City Stadium and was focused on the game more than just the social/networking opportunity. There seemed to be more of a pride in the community that “this team is good and I’m going to go watch and support them” even in our old, dumpy stadium. We need a new Game Day Director, too. +1 we haven't had an encouraging or successful season since russ took over .PERIODCalling our spring season "encouraging" because we beat a bad team and a team without a bunch of its starters but got housed by the only good team we actually played is. . . something.
This is what most FCS, and many lower-level FBS, schools regularly do. The savings are significant. Every school has to live within its budget.Hitting the road literally this weekend for a 425 mile bus ride to Stony Brook this weekend. On a Friday,8 hours seems about right. Déjà vu trip to Fordham in 2019.

How many extensions has Mooney gotten doing basically the same thing?Calling our spring season "encouraging" because we beat a bad team and a team without a bunch of its starters but got housed by the only good team we actually played is. . . something.
We played 4 games. Since other teams played more this would have implied that we should have an advantage. This is like the COVID excuse for basketball that it hurt us worse than others when in should have been an advantage for us.starting to cook up a lame excuse
Has spring-semester football impacted health of CAA teams this fall?
Richmond coach Russ Huesman said, “I do think some of the wear-and-tear on bodies is catching up."richmond.com

Richmond (2-4, 0-3 CAA)
Strength of Schedule: 53
Most Disappointing Loss: 20-7 to Elon
What’s Gone Wrong: Picked fourth in the CAA preseason poll following an encouraging spring season, the Spiders let a 14-point lead slip away in the final 5:01 against Villanova on Sept. 18 and have gone on to their first four-game losing streak since 2013. They’ve played nearly three full games without No. 1 quarterback Joe Mancuso, who has a broken right index finger.
Potential Reversal: The Spiders have yet to appear in the postseason under fifth-year coach Russ Huesman, and they’re basically playing only for a winning record, which would require them to win four of their final five games. Their next two outings (Stony Brook and New Hampshire) are on the road.
I agree with you. Va Tech sucks and their fans were chanting “Fire Fuente” at the end of the game today, but they still have fun. What would be a good entrance song for us?
Young, enthusiastic, offensive minded coach. Hmmm- maybe head coaching material?

For the people in charge…any win seems to be season making…A "season-making" win would have been beating Villanova on the road or JMU at home en route to a playoff berth. Beating W&M for our fourth or fifth win en route to another off-season at home does not qualify.
