Dayton InGame

I'm at work so I'm listening on phone. The way Bob is talking they're still in the game if they cut it to 10 by halftime.

My TWC TV app is having trouble streaming NBCSN. I think it's trying to send me a signal to give up.

Have to come out with sense of urgency and energy. Can't have the classic sluggish start to the half that this team usually has.

Could be worse score wise so just have to come out shooting well. Pierre has 8 points and 6 rebounds but 2 fouls so get him his 3rd quickly. Yes Miller has perfectly adjusted in taking away the paint but continue to find a way to get TA or TJ the ball down low.

And not for a second DT and TD in at the same time. I would feel better about having PF in there taking an open 3 after getting the pass from down low. Getting back to Miller funny how a coach that has a team with few issues still makes adjustments game-to-game.

As poorly as the Spiders have played only down 13.

Dayton does not need this game & they have dominated the first half. This means that there is a likelihood that the Flyers will probably come out flat in 2nd half. IF UR can come out with a little life and play basketball, they still have a chance to make a game of it. Likely that the first 3-5 minutes of the 2nd half will determine whether or not we have a contest.

One thing that we can count on is that there will be no meaningful adjustments by the coach. The players need to look into their soul a bit and decide what kind of pride they have inside.

Mooney probably should have considered they would adjust to the 36 by Cline. Problem is we don't have anyone else. One hit a Tree, and the other two are 2 for 12.

Listening to Bob's call at the office. He's the most positive guy in the world and he even stated "It looks like the spiders are wearing cement shoes" after we didn't hustle for a loose ball. Are we tired, timid, or just slow? Also, we miss a ton of layups.

This team is just flat out LAZY!!! Lazy on offense and even more Lazy on Defense. Pitiful.

Before we blame the beginning of the second half on Mooney, please consider the players. I'm pretty sure he didn't tell them to come out and miss every layup and be careless and lazy with the ball, not communicate switches on defense, etc. He can yell until he's blue in the face, but it won't fix simple lack of execution.

First 4 minutes answered that question. Season over!

They look they've quit. Barely challenging in transition and flat footed in the paint.

First half showed team not confident from the start. That's on CM IMO we reverted to sos which players say coach as being scared. I would have let my team loose just as we prepared and started Fordham game. Less weave and just play. They responded with confidence. Today no confidence

He coaches the players and has had some for four and three years. He hasnt taught them well. They have gotten worse as the season has gone on. So yes he should be blamed.

To what Kneepad says, I get it. You get to this point during what has been a season that doesn't meet anyone's expectations, and the players end up giving up. I have been part of teams with players who have done that before, and it frustrated me to no end. But, it's a symptom of bad chemistry. This comes back to coaching, unfortunately. He got the team to a point where they no longer believe.

And, as I write this, we got beat back down the floor AGAIN. CLEAR THE BENCH!
