COVID and basketball forfeiture rules

Literally no one is stopping you.
Really? How do you know that? People are still not going to work in an office and being forced to work from home. Every corporate holiday party I know of was cancelled this year. New Years was pretty much cancelled. The social lives of young adults in America has been completely turned upside down. You might be fine with sitting on a couch in your home all day and just communicating with your wife, but most others arent and want to interact with other human beings without all of the burdening restrictions. For young people, this has been an absolute nightmare with no end in sight and if you dont see it, you obviously dont want to.

So, there are only 2 teams with at least 7 players and one coach with non-infected players?

Here is the A10 policy statement.
The revision requires teams that have seven available scholarship student-athletes and one countable coach to compete in all conference contests. Teams may also participate with less than seven available student-athletes. If a team elects not to play, despite having seven scholarship student-athletes and one coach available, that team will incur a forfeit and be given a loss in the league standings, and the opposing team will be granted a forfeit win.

Doesn’t need to be 12 teams, could be 6.

1 from each game. Then no forfeit.

This is a bit hard to believe.
At the rate omicrom is spreading, this should be over by mid January, but then waiting for the next variant.

I definitely could see the scenario where we pull out of the game at noon today. Hardt is fully awake and the SLU PR pr team has the release blaming our women's LAX team ready to go.

Idk what will happen with this game but if it did get cancelled I know John O’Connor will buy whatever UR is selling hook line & sinker.

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailydeaths Related to US only. And go to search and look up data on the flu this year. Miraculously no one is dying of it this year. Typically the flu has historically caused "12,000 – 52,000 deaths annually between 2010 and 2020." That is similar to the totals we are getting from covid right now.
so you question where I get my "Covid is killing thousands per day" and for backup you provide a graph showing Covid killing over a thousand people per day in the US alone?

flu should be down due to more social distancing, more working from home, and masks.

and 847,000 covid deaths in the US in less than 2 years isn't very similar to 12,000-52,000 per year flu deaths.

I'm very intereted if anyone can find stats broken out for vaccinated people. how many vaccinated people are dying or being hospitalized? they say it's mainly unvaccinated but I can't find that. if just unvaccinated are at risk, then that's their choice.

I go to the office less than I used to but still a decent percentage of the time. I go to games. I go to restaurants. I just took a couple flights. I certainly don't want games cancelled or campuses shut down. but there's no point minimizing this. it's real. and yes it still sucks.

4 of 7 Wednesday A-10 games postponed. Also saw that NC Central went on pause.
