University of Richmond two-sport athlete Becca Wann has been invited to the Under-20 US Soccer National Team camp in Carson, Calif. Wann, a sophomore forward, will compete for a spot on the roster that will represent the U.S. at this summer’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Japan. Wann, who also plays basketball at UR, was cited as a first-team All-American and the A-10 player of the year after scoring 15 goals last fall. The U.S. team will train in California from May 13-20.

Melissa Kandinata have been chosen as the player and rookie of the year, respectively, in Atlantic 10 women’s tennis. The two helped UR win its fourth consecutive A-10 crown and ninth in 10 years.
