this story seems very familiar, have we been through this kind of thing before?
Yes. Basically all of the other times.

Was the “it came down to UR and Pitt” quote from Bryce, or another source? If I remember correctly that was from his mom right? If so, he could’ve told her that because he knows she wants him to go to UR. From what I’ve seen on twitter, one of Penn State’s recruits is trying to “recruit” Bryce thereAny time line on Bryce? Most critical decision for Mooney. Down to us and Pitt first time around. Really, really need this ine.
If you are alluding to AWIII, yes we have, But AW3 didn't have a brother on the team.this story seems very familiar, have we been through this kind of thing before?
I'm more worried that Jay Wright followed him after his announcement. Was the “it came down to UR and Pitt” quote from Bryce, or another source? If I remember correctly that was from his mom right? Didn’t notice that. That makes me even less hopeful than I was, but we’ll have to wait and see I guess.I'm more worried that Jay Wright followed him after his announcement.
Pipe Dream for those that love Mooney. PIPE DREAM.
Shouldn't firing Mooney be a dream for everyone who wants the program to succeed? Many believe that to be a pipe dream.Shouldn't getting Bryce Golden be a dream for everyone who wants the program to succeed?

I doubt Mooney is going anywhere. 7.5 mil needs to be raised to build the basketball practice and training facility.Shouldn't firing Mooney be a dream for everyone who wants the program to succeed? Many believe that to be a pipe dream.
I think everyone wants Bryce to sign here, but some of us also believe a different coach would be more likely to extract more from him and our other players than Mooney can.
....
But no, firing Mooney should not be a dream for everyone who wants the program to succeed. Succeeding is the dream for everyone who wants the program to succeed.

Spring signing period is April 11 to May 16. I assume he’s bound to that period like any other unsigned player.Any time line on Bryce? Most critical decision for Mooney. Down to us and Pitt first time around. Really, really need this time.
The relevance is Mooney has recruited this high end player and didn't close the deal. I'm not looking for a dreamer, I much prefer a doer. No one wants the Spiders to succeed more than I and success by my definition isn't a trip to the dance with 8/9 year gaps in between. Not in my wildest DREAM can I imagine Mooney suddenly reversing his proven history of success.I don't see the relevance of that in discussing whether or not recruiting a high end player should only be a dream of Pro-Mooney vs. Anti-Mooney.

Redundant tautologies are usually a non sequitur.Congratulations.Bullseye.

I mean they are definitely related but I don't think they are relevant in this conversation. It would be like discussing if the 76ers should sign one player vs. another player and saying that instead of signing a player they should fire the coach. It isn't really constructive criticism in the specific situation even if it is valid criticism when more relevant
Come on now. That entire statement isn't relative to recruiting a highly regarded player but you are coming around. : )At this point I kind of just want a new coach so we can have a different topic. But I think if that happened 99% of the posts on the message board would die down and we would only get 2 or 3 posts a day
This alone was a redundant tautology and non sequitur as well. Impressive

I didn't bother.had to look up redundunadant tautology and non sequoia
I didn't bother.
I agree with K that a lot of teams must want Bryce. the fact that it came down to us and Pitt before is irrelevant now. he has plenty of options. his brother being here may or may not give us an advantage.
Are these follows recent?Maybe it's mentioned on your pay board, but a little surprised to not see mentioned here that Bryce Bolden is now following De'Monte Buckingham's mother, as well as, Jacob Gilyard. Wouldn't think that was incidental.
In addition, Grant Golden is now following David Nzekwesi, 2018 6'9" big man out of Texas.
From the man with an avatar, that said "I yam what I yam" seems rather appropriate...Since this thread and every basketball thread has discussion about Mooney and his future at Richmond ....and this one even got into the hypothetical and non answerable tautology (saying the same thing twice using different words) ...what I want for Richmond basketball is going to games and cheering for two Goldens instead of cheering for one twice...................and not only that seeing our coach change defenses when needed and clearing the bench at the end of games as most NCAA teams have done whether winning or losing......perhaps that kind of team chemistry and consideration has something to do with being in the NCAA tournament?

I think He is waiting to see who the new coach is. He and the rest of the recruits were going there despite the season Pitt had until the coaching change. If the new coach is to their liking, they will probably still be Pitt Panthers.
If Pitt keeps getting turned down by other coaches, maybe they turn to the Moon man. He is essentially a younger version of Stallings, so I doubt it, but a man can dream, can he not?Speaking of, just popped over to the Pitt board to see what was up. There is a thread over there where one of their posters is suggesting Pitt hire Mooney. Was that thread started by one of you FMM guys....
searched Golden and they're not crazy enthusiastic about him, siting his 200ish ranking. not that it makes a difference, but he'd be much more appreciated here!Speaking of, just popped over to the Pitt board to see what was up.
