In general i believe his teams did get better. To me, there was usually a 2 or 3 game stretch when they were playing Top 30 kind of basketball. This was usually NOT at the end of the year.
When his teams were playing that kind if basketball i was as big a fan as anyone. It WAS beautiful basketball and fun to watch. This has not been the case for several years now and the word that comes to mind is STALE.

Last year, we were 2-10 OOC and 9-9 in conference play. We started with a very low baseline but we did get better.
