Who were they?

I don't know how serious the offers were, but according to Verbal Commits...

Buckingham had offers from VTech, Cincinnatti, Maryland, and UVA
Sherod had offers from VTech and Texas Tech and interest from UVA, Indiana and Ohio State

Even though this class is REALLY good already, I thought we would be able to build on it this summer. Really disappointed. Hopefully we can piece something together.

I think there's something to be said for phillys idea, cut bait if you can't get an early commit. We may in fact be practicing this quite a bit with guys mentioned on the board.

I've got no issues if we stay on a guy either, but we have to get the backup guy in place as well. It felt like Aleem was the backup to Wesson and there are an number of open P5 spots available.

Many prospects will wait to commit until after May 25, the last day current players can withdraw from the NBA draft. Expect us to get a late 2016 signee or transfer at that time. OSC

A couple if recruiting sites have aleem rated higher than trice. Rankings are mostly silly though.

I think so...although I'm sure they've been talking when recruiting trice.

we're going after the right kids. we're in there at the right time and building the right relationships. unfortunately these kids are elevating their game a few months too early and getting offers very late by offers we can't beat. some kids will decide we're the right place and not wait for the bigger offer. we can't cut bait on the others though. the bigger offer might not come. we need players like this. Like DMB, Sherod, Golden, Wesson, and Ford. we got 60% of that group. not bad at all.

At this point, if we don't have any good fallback options, I'd rather fill both spots with transfers. Grad or regular, doesn't matter to me. Let's get the best players possible. Hudson, Steeves, someone else, whatever we can get.
