Somewhat surprising H&H partners in there...no Davidson, no hoped-for Dayton, SLU will be a war, not looking forward to heading to Olean again.

Home: Duquesne, Fordham, George Washington, Rhode Island, George Mason, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis, VCU

Away: Davidson, Dayton, Massachusetts, Saint Joseph’s, George Mason, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis, VCU

Looks like Davidson & Dayton get URI, VCU, & Duquesne...

How in the hell does the A-10 decide that one of its top 2 preseason teams gets LaSalle as one of its home and home partners. And then we have to go to Olean for a game, which is incredibly difficult place to play, but probably won't give us the neccesary NET boost, a game say against Dayton or URI would have.

Looking forward to those SLU games though. They are a tough match-up for us, but preseason 1 and 2, you have to have them paired up.

And yes, I know we will always get VCU, but right now VCU looks to be a rebuild and so those games are pretty much must wins for us.

Again, if no OOC, puts us in a tough position I think. SLU should be good, Bonnies too. VCU, who knows. GMU and LaSalle, blehh.
Going to be tough. Did see a proposal by our favorite paid consultant regarding an expanded NCAA tournament with regular season champ and league tournament champs as auto qualifiers. I believe it was an 80 team field. Have a feeling UR is going to need an expanded field the way things seem to be trending.

Pretty unconscionable that they continue to give VCU, who will be a bottom-half team, the home and home with Dayton. That’s going to hurt the league, whereas giving it to us would have helped.

Un fuggin believable. No H/H with regional rivals Davidson or GW? La Salle is absolutely inexcusable for a team projected to be in the top 4. The fact that there is a real possibility of no non conference play makes this even more absurd. Nuts to this schedule.

agree w comments here. We got shafted. Isn’t our AD supposed to be an advocate? He couldn’t even get a guy on our payroll Lunardi on our side & now this. Makes me wonder more about NCAA & a10 advocacy even tho we should have been a lock.

lasalle 3 years in a row? Last 2 fine but not again. At minimum u take out the Goo Moos or lasalle & switch in any of Dayton Duq Davidson or URI.

Bonnies will be good but that’s always a hard game w the travel & we played there last year we seem to be at Bona more than most. While a good team problem is their NET isn’t as reflective bc they normally play a weak non conf. Hard for them to get games but still.

Not a fan of these pairings. & we need that good neutral site OOC game even more now.

It doesn’t strike me as that bad. They doubled on SLU which they rarely do so certainly that’s a reflection they think both teams will be near the top of the conference. VCU is rivalry and GMU is next closest in distance. Sucks to play @Bonnies but they’re stronger than most alternatives and someone’s gotta go there.

LaSalle is a dog, I’ll give you that. Certainly would prefer UD or Davidson in that spot.

OK, hate to play this card but JABBAtheHardt screwed this up. How did he OK this schedule with VCU having a better 5 team pow wow than us this year. I guess they are getting past credits for being so good while moon dog and co. were asleep the last 5 years. If someone will come out and say that I would be OK with it.

The whole Dayton-VCU thing is great most years, as they both have rabid fans bases and home court environments that make for great TV.

But did none of these schedule makers consider the high likelihood of playing in front of empty arenas this year. As such, they should have made the best match-up based upon what teams are bringing back this year. Dayton getting two games against VCU hurts them to. That match-up literally helps no one.
