Disclaimer: I realize not everyone on the forum likes following former Spiders, but some of us still find it interesting to keep up with the rest of their college careers.

Former Spiders:
  • Marcus Randolph – Now a senior at St. Peter's, Marcus started 19 of 32 games last season, averaging 6.5 points per game. He’s likely to maintain a starting role this year.
  • Isaiah Wilson – Senior at Winthrop. After starting the first two games last year, Isaiah suffered a season-ending injury. His profile still lists him as a senior, suggesting no medical redshirt was applied for. Wishing him a full recovery.
  • Aiden Noyes – Redshirt junior at Belmont, returning to the Robins Center on 12/14. Expect him to receive a different reception compared to last year's transfer return.
  • Jason Nelson – Redshirt junior at Youngstown State. He won’t be returning to the Robins Center this year. Personally, I hope Jason finds his stride and makes a significant impact during his final two seasons.
  • Trevor Smith – Now a sophomore at Hampton. With the move to a lower division, hopefully, Trevor secures a starting role.
  • Malcolm Dread – Redshirt junior at Mt. Saint Mary’s. Last season, he only appeared in 7 games, averaging less than 1 point per game.
  • Andre Weir – The 6'9", 270 lb senior is now at Kennesaw State after several years at FGCU, where injuries sidelined him for most of last season.
  • Dji Bailey - Given he is a UR graduate, I assume we'll continue to use his dedicated thread for ongoing updates as we did last year for TB.
Family Connections:
  • Jarin Stevenson - Sophomore at Bama. Assume he may start this year but we'll see.
  • Curtis Blair III - Redshirt freshman at Liberty.
  • BB Washington – A freshman at FGCU and brother of George Washington III. He’ll be playing at the Robins Center on 12/28.
  • Nikolas Gustavson – Brother Gus, a redshirt sophomore at D2 UT-Tyler. He was previously at North Alabama (D1, Atlantic South) but didn’t seem to play there.
Suspect I missed a couple folks and will edit the above based on comments.

Just fyi Wilson plays for Winthrop not Campbell. Easy to mix up silver spoon names.

Did Noyes lose starting spot after 1 game? Unless he was a fill in opening night looks like it.

Isaiah Wilson - Winthrop vs Little Rock. Noon.
Andre Weir - Kennesaw State at the California Baptists. 8pm.
Curtis Blair Jr - Liberty at Seattle 8pm.

Saturday recap:

Jason Nelson -
started 28 minutes as Youngstown State beat Chi State by 20. 1 point, 6 turnovers, 3 fouls, 4 assists, 5 rebounds
Isaiah Wilson - 7 minutes and 0 points in Winthrop's win over Little Rock. Wonder if he is healthy. Really expected him to start for them when he transferred.
Andre Weir - Started for KSU that lost to CA Baptists by 4. 15 minutes, 7 rebounds, 9 points
Curtis Blair Jr - Didn't play.

Oof. Jason Nelson. That point to turnover ratio is….not good. It’s not good.

Monday

- Jason Nelson - 3 points on 1-for-7 shooting, 1 assist, and a steal in a beatdown by Ohio State. Only 1 turnover!
- Marcus Randolph - Only Peacock in double figures against Rutgers with 22 on 7-for-12 shooting including 4-for-8 from deep.
- Rodney Rice - 10 points in 16 minutes off the bench as Maryland rolled FAMU.
- Isaiah Wilson - Scoreless in just 6 minutes off the bench as Winthrop hung with VT. No shots, 1 board, and 1 turnover.
- Jarin Stevenson - Still starting, but only 4 points including 0-for-5 from deep as Bama took down McNeese.

Tuesday performances...

- Aidan Noyes: Belmont was down 79–72 to Lipscomb with 1:22 to play and came back to win it, 80–79. Aidan played 21 minutes off the bench but wasn't much of a factor as he went scoreless on two shots and had 3 boards and a steal.
- Curtis Blair: 13 minutes off the bench with just 5 points as Liberty cruised over NAIA Carolina University.
- Trevor Smith: 11 points in 14 minutes off the bench including 3-for-6 from deep as Hampton led Providence at the half before the Friars took over.

Wasn't really in the mood to put this together last night. Hope I'm not missing anybody.

- Andre Weir - Started but only played 15 minutes in an easy win over NAIA Bryan, had 8 points and 5 boards.
- Malcolm Dread - Once again DNP as Mount St. Mary's softened up Bucknell for us with a double OT win.
- BB Washington - DNP in FGCU's loss to Bona. So far this season he has only played the final 24 seconds of their loss to TCU.

Is Dread Moon's biggest freshman recruit miss? I think he's even behind the kid who went to Lindenwood. Dread went to the great Gonzaga after all so I had to be nice, and Covid didn't help, but I remember posting back then how surprised I was when UR took him.

I think he had an older brother that played P5 ball right? If so maybe that distorted the optics of what he could project to be.

But still, that was one big swing and a miss on a guy that can't even see playing time on a MAAC team. Then we turn around and get smacked at home by a MAAC team so what do I know maybe they are just that good! 🤯

Yeah, Myles played at Penn State and scored almost 1,100 points thanks to the extra COVID year. Never a double-digit scorer, but consistently in that 6–9 PPG range and started a bunch of games for them, though he came off the bench in his final year.

I almost feel like Malcolm has to be injured, but I'm not sure that's the case as he appeared in 7 scattered games for mop-up duty last season, so I guess he really is just that far down the bench. 13 different guys have seen the floor for MSM so far in their three games, but Dread isn't one of them.

did Bryce Schneider transfer out of D1? Seemed like a good guy, remember him posting congrats to the guys he came in with after the NCAA tourney win in 2022.

Yeah, he headed to D-II Nova Southeastern. Still helps run the Big Shots family business.

Since we are adding siblings, just realized Delaware's John Camden is Anna's brother. Watched him play this weekend. Very confident player and can really really shoot it. Think we were mentioned with him in portal briefly. Not much production before this season but shooting 44% from three. Has 17 in first half vs Yale today.

Yep, was tracking him in the portal as we did get a mention. Hoped the sibling connection might give us an in, but it didn’t seem to go anywhere.
