LaSalle is 2-9 in A10 and 8-16 overall. Thinking we win by precisely 41 to offset the mens' loss on Saturday,

Maybe too much information, but I decided to check to see how we fare from a stats perspective versus other A-10 teams. The stats are from the A-10 website and reflect only conference games.

We've played 10 conference games and the stat is for 10 games, so it would appear that the "water supply" game would be included. Here's what the page looks like:

Thanks for sharing. I’m confused how it got a home average of 1,683 when 8,415/10 = 841.5.

And the average is more accurately 2104 since we had no spectators at one game. However, the AD could have counted the number of season tickets and individual tickets sold for that game. There's just no way of telling that from the info on the A-10 site.

Did some more digging and according to the box score on our site, we reported attendance as 114 for the Mason game. According to the box scores:

Dayton - 1466
Mason - 114
Bonnies - 877
VCU -3462
URI - 2496

This totals 8415 for conference games and divided by five gives you 1683 - the attendance stat that is on the A-10 site and is tops for conference-only games.

Take out the Mason game and total attendance is 8301 for a four-game average of 2075. That is 441 attendees higher per game than Dayton which is number two at 1634. I'll throw one more thing out which I thought interesting. There are three A-10 teams with average attendance less than our 441 margin - Loyola (422), La Salle (248) and Bonnies (233).

Those games were boosted by VCU/Girls in Sports and URI/Play 4 Kay Breast Cancer Awareness events. We still have Black History Month and Senior Day games on the schedule, and not sure those will give as big of bumps, but still...really nice support for the women this season.

114 is the most remarkable & interesting stat considering 0 fans were allowed

21–18 Spiders after one.

Explorers 4–for–7 from deep, Spiders 1–for–8, though the Spiders are 8–for–8 from two.

The 4-7 for La Salle was largely a function of breaking the press and having wide-open shooters. We've pressed and double-teamed more in this game than any other this year. As the game went on the press became more effective. Plus no Katie Hill in this game.

Feels like the Fordham game. We should be killing this team but LaSalle just hustling a bit more. We are up 10 w 3 mins to go.

Pretty incredible to go for 1-for-16 from deep and still win by that much. But they overcame it by shooting well from two and owning turnover margin.

Great win today! Big game coming up at Duquesne who beat us in Pittsburgh last year. Part of me wonders whether all the recognition the team is getting on being a top 3 point shooting team/player in the nation is having a psychological impact. Hopefully there will be regression back to the mean after this 1-16 performance. Go Spiders!

In other news, Mason and Joe's continue to win, so the top three are really separating which is what they need if the A-10 is going to get multiple bids. We still have to play the Hawks twice, so those games will be huge.
