They took some grief last year when the initial rankings came out. Much of it was over the top; all early computer rankings have some wackiness - they need more data to fine-tune. I remember Hardt and Bob spent a decent amount of his segment on Black & Drew mocking the initial NET last season; I suppose it freed him from spending the entire hour addressing the dismal state of our program at the time.
Ironically, Ohio State was #1 in last year's initial NET - and that's what they got the most ridicule for.
This year's most likely initial #1? Ohio State.
