We went up 38-10, mid 3rd quarter. We did not score another point in the game, probably the longest stretch of time we've gone scoreless all year. Lauletta was pressured, like no other game this year, and he was less effective as a result.

Is this because our team relaxed too much, with a big lead? Or did Albany make 2nd half adjustments, that affected our game. I'm sure future opponents will be looking at the video, and trying to determine if Albany found some weaknesses in our game. What do you think?

why did w&m lose to delaware, why did ole miss lose to memphis? each and every game has a different personality based on a ton of things and you cannot predict what is going to happen based on the past performance of either team. a team is not going to play at a certain level every game, whether it be high school, college or pro and there is no way to figure it out, just how games work in all sports and why we have upsets.

Guys have a natural tendency to let up. I am sure they went into the game pretty confident - then things play out like they expected and we are up 38-10 in the third quarter.... You lose some of your edge. Frustrating but we got the win - that's whats important.

Agree Spiders had a letdown after big lead. Kickoff return gave Albany shot of enthusiasm which was elevated by fumble. Pass protection struggled at end but UR survived. If kickoff covered appropriately, probably win big, but I have no confidence in Legg to ever get that right.

I hoped they learned we are not so good that we can beat a CAA team with anything less than full effort the entire game. All season I don't think we pick up blitzes as well as we could/should Other teams will continue to exploit this. That quarter and a half has got to be one of the poorest I've seen. We came completely frazzled.

Coach said yesterday in teleconference he knew UA would come in well rested and with plenty of "fight."

Despite being down 38-10 they never lost that "fight." Maybe we lost a little of ours and learned a lesson as many have stated.

Maybe UA was better than they had been playing? I'd forgotten, but they played the Pukes a 42-28 game. I think they also intercepted AA QB Vad Lee multiple times while forcing about a half dozen turnovers.

I expect the Spiders we had become accustomed to return Saturday.

Go Spiders!
