We suck. Mooney sucks. Hardt sucks. I suck for giving a damn.
Burton has disappeared and has cost us a few big games. Couldn’t even hit the rim on a foul shot. Grant and Cayo should’ve been able to dominate inside but I don’t think Mooney put them in a position to be successful.
Give us some competent refs A10, why do you do this year after year. Rewarding mediocrity is what Richmond’s athletic department does, it shouldn’t be what the A10 does but here we are. Bernadette has to be the most incompetent commissioner in the sport, collecting her checks while not giving a rats ass
Burton missed 11 shots, Sherod missed 7 and Goose missed 6. We had 2 guys score double figures.

Shockingly, we lost a close game. Have we EVER made a last-second game winning shot in 17 years of the Mooney Error? Literally ever? I don't remember it if so.
Wonder if Mooney ever feels guilty cashing his check? VCU love them some Mooney.

What a classic way to finish a UR-VCU game. Williams takes the most idiotic shot clock violation by standing still with the ball for three seconds (shout-out the VCU education) and then somehow hits a prayer contested three to win it
Just spent 30 seconds looking at the box score. Grant was 7-9 while Cayo was 4-5, and it seems like we never gave them the ball inside. Rather we kept letting Burton and Sherod chuck up bad shots. The big men should’ve taken over the game. Sigh.
Mooney’s sorry ass needs to be immediately fired. VCU sucks, all they did was scrap.
The refs were incompetent, give us refs who don’t go down on a big fat ween all night and we win comfortably. Hope those refs get stuck in traffic every day the rest of their miserable lives.
This game is who we are and who we have been for many years. We are a skilled team. We aren’t athletic or, most importantly tough - either mentally or physically. Our players are who they are and basically stay that way. The coaching adds nothing to our guys. We can run a good offense. That’s our singular team attribute. Defense, rebounding, toughness, strategic etc are all a hard no. This is especially galling because I believe most of our guys play hard and want it, but Mooney has no idea how to get better. Just same old same old everything.

Yes it’s funny you talk to Tarrant players they respect him but didn’t particularly like him but he got them to achieve more than they could have hoped. Isn’t that being a coach?
Fixed it for you but I disagree. Calling the refs not very good is an understatement. They were an embarrassment to the profession and sport.
If you think the refs cost us that game, I say play better than the refs ref. At the end of the day Mooney's win percentage vs. VCU falls to .250. That's 1 out of 4, and that ain't half bad.
Yep. Definitely the refs. Not at all the lack of a competent end of game strategy.
Yes. The refs didn’t cost us this game. A few bad calls but they were much worse in the drake game to be honest.

Honestly. How many of you thought this was going to turn out differently? I sure didn't. It's become comical in a way and plydogg is the cherry on top.
