Showed fight but too many self inflicted wounds. Bad tackling, awful special teams, questionable play calling and personnel choices.

That was a rough opener. We did finally show some heart in the 2nd half but the story had been written at that point. So many things to clean up if we want to even sniff the playoffs. But there is a lot of talent on the roster if we can figure it out.

There aren't many defenses that will be able to stop us. We have got to get better at tackling and converting in the redzone and for sure fix special team last big time. Injury report will be huge. Not sure if just adjusting the lineups but seemed like a lot of different guys finishing the game than started it. Really hope Conniker isn't as bad as I fear

Personally thought the announcers were pretty fair for home team announcers. Gave us a lot of respect at times and weren't overtly slurping Sam Houston. At least it wasn't like watching a Nats game.

YFirst game in a long time were both the offensive and defensive philosophies have changed. Opening vs a top five team, it isn't a bad showing. If this lets them jell, I can live.

First game of the season, against #3 team, new staff and schemes. Disappointed in the final score- yes. More disappointed in some posters who are so negative. I'm going to practice this week to show my support, I hope some of you will show support in a way that works for your location and schedule. GO SPIDERS!

Unfortunately at will be a problem all year. If you're not a good tackling team it usually stays that way. You either have it or you don't. Looks to me like we don't have it.
