I think some kids are looking for a nice place to go for an extra year of college ball. the palm trees in Santa Clara look inviting.Agree 23 on O’Neill. Had pretty good feeling on him. Length consistent 3 pt shooting east coaster 2 years. Hoped we’d be in there stronger.
Maybe Andre Weir told him to stay far away.

saw an Ivy kid (Yale?) transferred to Hawaii. I'm guessing it wasn't for their grad program.
I agree nothing wrong with it. Good for the players. The way the portal is just puts more emphasis on coaches being players coaches and teams having great chemistry every year. If players like their coach and teammates, they might be less likely to leave. So, the portal could be positive or negative for programs. Last year was a positive in that we added guys and didn't lose anyone. We keep doing that, we should be in good shape. For sure. Nothing wrong w it. O’Neill has 2 in the palm trees if he wants it. I know in past Mooney has said they prefer to target multi year transfers.
Fwiw I think Santa Clara and Hawaii r both underrated for bball too.
Spring LOI period opens April 12 and runs through May 17. Guess they wanted to have a dead period before signing day.Ya, guess so. Seems weird to me, as things are totally different for these guys and they have a limited window in which to find a new home. I know this one is for the Final Four when a lot of head coaches are in attendance and meetings are taking place, but there's also another dead period April 10–13.
same, but one who can keep his head up.I want a big guard who can put his head down and drive to the basket, make a shot at the rim, get fouled, or do both. We have lacked that for a long time and I think we need it. Otherwise, we end up just passing the ball around for 25 seconds and jacking up a low-percentage three. Way too many empty possessions like that this year and in recent years.
That depends, do they have a grad program in surfing?I think some kids are looking for a nice place to go for an extra year of college ball. the palm trees in Santa Clara look inviting.

I agree with this. There may be guys stuck on the bench at P6 that could be very good in the A10, BUT many times there is a reason the guy is stuck on the bench. We need to identify 2 guys that can score the ball and make an impact - wherever they may come from. If that happens and Burton is back, then we don't need major improvement from the current guys - just incremental improvement and more consistency.I don't think it matters which way a transfer is moving. find the best players/fit. and then play them if they're the best options.
Spiders get swept left again.
When I follow these changes, I always do it with a echoing, booming voice..."Portal Kombat!"
Huge name in the portal. I wonder where he will end up. Going to be interesting to follow

I saw someone on Twitter say this list looks like a receipt from CVSWas debating posting this, but your Richmond Spiders are among the 80(!) alleged schools to reach out D2 transfer 6'9 wing/F Jonathan Pierre. This list ranges from Duke all the way to Sacred Heart. Portal Kombat indeed!
I can see why. really nice passing for a 6'9" guy and shot 40.5% from 3. deep range. Was debating posting this, but your Richmond Spiders are among the 80(!) alleged schools to reach out D2 transfer 6'9 wing/F Jonathan Pierre. He is legit and can play. Nova Southeastern went 36-0 and won the D2 title.....a lot of talent on that team. Fla. Atlantic's coach mentioned he knew his team was gonna have a good year when they beat Nova in a scrimmage because Nova and their style of play can give you fits.I can see why. really nice passing for a 6'9" guy and shot 40.5% from 3. deep range.
