Transfer Portal

¹So far, from what SF has posted and what I have seen on this thread so far, my wish list would be:
Justin Wright - Seems like that combo guard that can get places on the court and score or make plays. Strong guard, create his own shot.
Johnny O'Neil - Kind of reminds me a little of the guy from Delaware that transferred to Wake this past season. Little more athletic and perimeter oriented. seems like an ideal stretch 4 to pair with Quinn/Walz.

I'd sign up for that. maybe add Clarence Daniels as the 3rd to play combo forward helping Bigs on the boards.

but it's early and we've only been mentioned with 30 guys so far out of the 477 in the portal. in a few weeks the portal will hit 1,000. we may reach out to 30 or 40 more by then.

he can go directly to grad school after graduating Annapolis. he'll still have to serve for 5 years after that though.

Amzil transferring out of Dayton.

Also, Buchanan out of VT. We offered him out of high school but didn't make his final 5.

Yeah actually I knew someone who did just that out of the Academy, tho not related to athletics. But think he had to serve extra year as result, more than the standard 5. But that was quite a while ago & could have changed.

I remember liking the looks of Buchanan's game. Seemed like we were a finalist and being mentioned for awhile. I will put him down as number 3 on my wish list. Or maybe number one.
yeah, Buchanan was definitely a favorite miss of mine in that class with Hunger and Avila.
I'd love to get him now.

If I remember right, Steve Thomas was the main recruiter for us with Hicks. Wonder if him leaving lessens our chances if we offer.

Or maybe the Giper would be an improvement

Their sister is playing for money in the WNBA too. Not a ton of money, of course, but certainly enough to get by on.

No mention from Jarvis in this article from today: "When it comes to Jarvis’ recruitment, he has been hearing consistently from Florida, Miami, Georgetown, Providence, VCU, Northwestern among others."

Josh Uduje out of Coastal. True soph with two years left.

Tosan Evbuomwan will be able to play almost anywhere he wants to next year.

agree, both can play, would love to have one or both.

Princeton's offense played with purpose on all those curls, and guys kept getting to the hoop. They looked to score nonstop, especially after getting scored upon. No "perfect possession" bball and empty passing. It was the main differentiator to UR's. Well, that and that Henderson was unfraid to call timeouts early and often.

Sam Alijiki out of Cal, which fought Louisville tough and nail for the right to be considered the worst P5 team in history and I think somehow managed to pull it off. (They were 3–29 and somehow managed to have both 16-game and 12-game losing streaks in the same season.)

Soph with two years left. Ireland native who prepped a couple of places in the U.S. including St. Benedict's. Was a spot starter in the first half of the season for Cal before working his way into a full-time starting role. Still only averaged 6 ppg.

We’re not in the final mix for Jarvis, though our friends at that fine institution down the street are.
