The Kiffin comments are off simply off base as evidence "you can't coach effectively with one foot out the door. " In each of Alabama's last two National Championships they had a coordinator who had been hired as a head coach somewhere else and stayed on with Bama through the NC game and they won. Kiffin couldn't stay cause he's an arrogant, selfish centered ass and probably did short shrift the Bama side because he is that kind of guy. But thats Lane, not all are like him - - and the proof is right at Bama.

As for our situation, I don't believe that DR did (or ever would) make a decision to sacrifice UR's chances to accelerate his own move. First off, winning and then thumbing your nose at us is an even bigger ego boost that an early exit and leaving. 2nd - - I believe the thing DR would have loyalty to were the kids - - especially seniors (many 5th year) and no way he'd sell out a Brian Brown or so many others in their last chance. No way.

Disagree. I don't think Kiffen is the only arrogant self centered ass in the football coaching profession.

All due respect weren't you the one who broke the news this was happening weeks before the season was over. Was this not weeks in the planning? Switched jobs before? I have and remember being on auto-piolit, its human nature.

Can you show me his loyalty to the players when you are coaching at another program that happened to be one of your oldest rivals just a few days after a blowout loss? Please show me your loyalty when you are airing dirty laundry for everyone to see. Then giving our players/fans one side of the story and try and divide them on the way out while they eat away at the people who are still here.

Please show me you are putting in the maximum effort when your playing walk on QBs against your biggest rival. Show me you are putting forth your best effort when you say you have no plan b.

Of course he was distracted, he may of been putting his best foot forward but for "his players" but that doesn't negate the fact your about to be going somewhere else. Mike London was distracted too and we won a playoff game, almost 2. We still have players that want to stay here and keep playing for their season, despite what their coach is doing.

I did not see any excellent coaching against UND. What I saw was the strong will of our players refusing to give up and overcoming a mediocre gameplan from both coaches. UND panicked once one of our guys made a play.

If he didn't say a word, left for an upper level program, even after all that Delaware crap, think most on here would be shaking his hand and wishing him well. He didn't, and on the way out have never seen that type of behavior from a coach. They either say no comment or I am staying here blah blah blah. He said his goal was to extend the season and then see what happens, that's begging for speculation/distraction. I still wish him well and appreciated what he did for us on the football field, believe most spider fans do.
