The Harris Doctrine

Hear you. Agree, the Garland stiff arm was unseemly. That said, based on his performance as Attorney General, far more partisan than neutral. Was hoping for more.

Among the most shameful episodes in our country's history.

Taliban told us they were not in a position to control Kabul and asked us to secure it until they came in with enough personnel to take charge. Foolishly, we rejected a reasonable offer and were left to defend only the perimeter of the airport. No casualties in the previous 18 months in the country, but Biden responsible for 13 dead at Abbey Gate. If that was not bad enough, he then killed a carload of innocent civilians mistakenly fingered as the perpetrators.

How anyone supports this is beyond belief. Ineptitude at its zenith.

Now Kamala Harris is in support of building a border wall. She was against the wall before she was for it.

Harris would not be the Dems' first choice, but shot themselves in the foot by sticking with Biden too long. Now, they are stuck with a flawed candidate. Getting lots of donations and selling the happy, joyful duo showbiz stuff, but as to policy the one at the top flip flops on nearly every major issue. Anyone know what she really believes? I don't. The glitz will wear off and she will have to explain her views without the teleprompter crutch. Don't believe that will be pretty.

BTW If walls don't work, why do we put them around prisons? Then again, never understood putting them around cemeteries. ;)

"BTW If walls don't work, why do we put them around prisons?" I am sure you are familiar with the extensive tunneling systems the cartels have used for years. And I'm sure you have seen the pictures of migrants climbing over the walls or cutting holes in them.

Valid points, but better than no wall. No? At least make it as difficult as possible rather than Biden Administration waving everyone through with a green flag.

Not what is happening, but I think extra Border Guards and more technology would be more effective. Add more Immigration Courts and fewer would become "lost" in the system, ie released and not tracked.

"Not what is happening"??? With respect, 10,000,000 in less than 4 years gets you to green flag territory. Outrageous, borderline treasonous. This need not be difficult, just shut the door. We have the means, but sadly this Administration lacks the will.

The Harris-Biden administration has not been enforcing the laws on the books. They believe once an illegal is here it is here forever. Ten million illegal immigrants is a greater population than more than 40 states.

The next turn of the Harris Doctrine- fear and appeasement towards Russia.

Multiple reports from Western media indicate that the US government is prohibiting the United Kingdom (UK) from allowing Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles to strike military targets in Russia. The Financial Times (FT) reported on August 27 that a source familiar with the matter stated that Ukraine's use of British and French Storm Shadows may require access to American intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in areas where Russian forces are jamming the GPS signals that the missiles use for targeting.

The left isn't complaining about Harris' tough on immigration stance, because they know it is a load of bunk.

Presidential candidates pivoting to the middle on key issues ahead of a general election is unsurprising. What is surprising is that, on immigration, the Harris campaign is doing so without facing much opposition from liberal politicians, progressive activists, or even longtime pro-immigrant advocacy groups.

Of course, it is disgraceful. Everyone knows this even our left leaning friends, but they can't admit it. Yet another Biden Admin disaster. They are manifold. Least intelligent President, regardless of party, in modern history.

The world is about to erupt. These are all direct results of Kamala Harris' policies. One must connect the dots by analyzing the consequences of repeated American failure on the widely separated fronts of the international contest now taking place.

From Liberal columnists:

Washington Post columnist David Ignatius reports from Kyiv that Ukraine is “bleeding out” as its weary soldiers struggle against a numerically superior Russia.
The New York Times reports that China is expanding the geographical reach and escalating violence in its campaign to drive Philippine forces from islands and shoals that Beijing illegitimately claims.
And Bloomberg reports that Washington officials are fearful that Russia will help Iran cross the finish line in its race for nuclear weapons.

All from liberal news outlets generally favorable to the Biden administration, tell a tragic and terrifying tale of global failure on the part of the U.S. and its allies. China, Russia and Iran are stepping up their attacks on what remains of the Pax Americana and continue to make gains at the expense of Washington and its allies around the world.

I fear this great country will be brought to its knees by 12 years of liberal rule in this country, starting with Obama. A more devastating indictment of a failed generation of national leadership, from Clinton through Obama, could scarcely be penned. A Harris Administration would continue the decline.

A recently released report of the Commission on the National Defense Strategy, which was a panel of eight experts, highlighted the risks.

The bipartisan report details a devastating picture of political failure, strategic inadequacy and growing American weakness in a time of rapidly increasing danger. The U.S. faces the “most serious and most challenging” threats since 1945, including the real risk of “near-term major war.” The report warns: “The nation was last prepared for such a fight during the Cold War, which ended 35 years ago. It is not prepared today.”

Should such a conflict break out, “the Commission finds that the U.S. military lacks both the capabilities and the capacity required to be confident it can deter and prevail in combat.”

To summarize, World War III is becoming more likely in the near term, and the U.S. is too weak either to prevent it or, should war come, to be confident of victory.

The height of perfidy is Harris-Biden's ban of new liquified natural gas export projects. This is a another devastating concession to the green energy special interests. It destroys American interests abroad and damages American jobs at home. Europe and Ukraine need that gas. We can supply it, but we won't.

The Energy Department in January paused permits for new LNG export projects in order supposedly to review whether they are in the “public interest.” DOE approval is required for LNG exports to countries with which the U.S. doesn’t have free trade agreements, including Europe and Japan.

Harris-Biden hoped the pause would excite young progressive voters amid a TikTok lobbying campaign on the issue. But it has alienated allies counting on U.S. gas so they can reduce their dependence on Russia, which still accounts for about 15% of Europe’s gas supply.

“Russia’s increasingly aggressive actions towards Ukrainian infrastructure, including electricity and gas storage facilities, highlight the urgent need to assist Ukraine in recovering and rebuilding and for Ukraine to diversify and secure its energy supply,” write the House Democrats, most of whom represent oil and gas producing areas.
