Thank you for making a public statement to eliminate uncertainty relative to our men's basketball team. Not everyone will be happy with the decisions you have made, but at least we can all move forward. I am very excited about the talent we have on the team for next year and plan to make a $5,000 to$10,000 contribution in the next week to the athletic dept to help support them. I had been holding off, because I did not want my donation used to buyout a coach's contract.

I encourage my fellow Spiders to make a contribution over the next week to show their support for the basketball program. For those that our extremely negative on the program, I am very sorry you feel that way and hope the team does much better than your expectations.

I am very disappointed that the talent we have on the team for next year will again be poorly coached, and I plan to renege on my pledge of $5,000 to$10,000 to the athletic dept to help support them. I had been holding off in arriving at this decision because I did not want to make another donation to be used to support coaching mediocrity.

I encourage my fellow Spiders to withhold their contributions for the next year to show their support for a change in coaching for the men's basketball program. For those that are naively positive on the program, I am very sorry you feel that way and hope the team does better despite all realistic expectations to the contrary.

Today, I too made a donation. I donated money that had previously gone to Spider Club back to my bank account. It is very simple. Why should we care about winning if the administration doesn’t? They say they care, but their actions say they don’t. Yesterday was truly a sad and pathetic day for Spider Basketball.
