OK, so noticed that the base pay is world's apart from total comp, in some cases, what gives, are they getting a % of what they raise for the school? know one candidate for UR prez, wanted that but our board said no and hired fly the coop. just curious if others know what the difference is, the top prez has a base of $900,000 but made over $7 million in total, inquiring minds want to know. in addition, how do they calculate total expenditures, we show around $234 million in expenditures where some schools, wake, for example, shows $1.1 billion in expenditures. that could be the medical school, not sure.

In the case of RPI prez $5.9-million of that money came in the form of a deferred-compensation payout, which was set aside over a 10-year period and could have been forfeited had she left for another job. Nice "golden handcuffs,"
