I liked Chuck Priore.A straight shooter,no nonsense coach.Reminds me of our Jim Reid.Somehow the inability to recruit to SBU hurt but I remember that he brought in a number of FBS/FCS Portal transfers for this season which obviously didn’t gel.

I don't know anything about SB's facilities but Long Island isn't exactly a hot bed of college football interest (Probably more Jets/Giants fans up there) so recruiting can't be easy. That's not a sexy record but they did have some good seasons and definitely gave us fits the last few years.

He was 54.9% prior to the slide that began with Covid.

They announced an extension after a 2–9 season last year, but reportedly the agreement was reached prior to the season. Made for an awful look extending a guy trending down with three straight losing seasons. Then rock bottom this year.
