I know nothing of the veracity of this rumor, but Fairleigh Dickinson fired Herenda yesterday and MoJo was an assistant there for a season. Couple of tweets saying he may be in the mix.

It's never good to lose your MoJo.

I feel like FDU is a coaching graveyard. how do you succeed and advance from there?
not saying Mojo should stay here forever, but he'll get better opportunities if he's patient.

Agree, no idea what difference in salary, etc would be - but FDU does not seem like a good spot for an aspiring HC. Of course wouldn't have thought St. Peter's would be either.

Looks like Herenda was making a little north of $250k as of a couple of years ago. FDU is definitely a tough place to succeed.

Actually, I am technically Mr. MoJo...
But rarely use that designation.
Even more technically Mr. MoJo, Jr.
Which sounds much less impressive...

I don't know about y'all. But this has gotta be the weirdest (Very enjoyable however) couple months of being a spider fan. Staring down the barrel of another NCAA less season, make a crazy run, parlay that into a couple highly sought after transfers and now recruit AND possibly replace the entire assistant coaching staff. The pendulum has swung back violently in our schools favor it seems.

Damn, if we lost our entire assistant coaching staff in one offseason, that would be less than good. No offense to the other guys, particularly Hovde, whom I liked a lot, but losing Mojo would be a huge loss.
No doubt that MoJo is someone that Mooney can’t afford to lose this year unless he has some assistant coach recruiting magic that he wants to show us.

Hopefully PQ or some of my friends can help keep MoJo around since when we make the elite 8 next year and Coach gets the call from Kentucky it will be hard for Coach to say no and Mojo will be the heir apparent,

I wonder how instrumental Mojo was in securing this incoming class of freshmen and transfer students. My guess is that he played a very important role, which I hope will not turn off any of our recruits if he leaves.

This would not be a good development. No one wants to go to Fairly Ridiculous University. MoJo will get better opportunities than this if he sticks here a few more years.

Whew. You can't stress Mooney like this. He finally is on a little bit of good roll here, but the man does not deal well with change and losing his entire assistant coaching staff would be a huge change. I doubt he even has this many former players to promote up at this point.

I was ready to start a petition to bring on SpiderDad as an assistant if Mojo left realizing I guess then he would have to sadly move away from an official role on the Forum.

This team was sleepwalking through the season and then all of a sudden the petition appears and they start going world beaters on us. Some people might call that a coincidence, I do not.
sure, and you believe the billboard helped too.
pretty much a no-lose situation it seems. either you sign a petition and we fail, proving you're right. or we succeed and it's thanks to the petition. lol.

Uh oh, part deux...

Speaking of FDU…it sounds like Richmond assistant Maurice Joseph was the other finalist (and reportedly passed on the job). The former head coach at George Washington (2016-19) was an assistant at FDU during the 2019-20 season. It sounds like he is still involved in the vacant assistant position at Michigan State. More on this one as I hear it.

Forgot Doug Wojcik was there…
