Mid season A10 teams

We're in 9th place. If we finish top 6 he'll have a good shot at 1st team; if not, will be on the cusp as he likely is now. Will be interesting to see if TJ or SDJ and the team can finish strong and get us 2 or 3 players in the top 15.

I assume teams 1 through 3 have a good/great shot at NCAA with #4 squarely on the bubble and teams 4 through 6 or maybe 5 through 7 having a decent shot at NIT.

5-3 down the stretch (overall 17-13 (9-9)) gives a shot at top 7 (maybe 6), but much better chances with 6-2 down the stretch, though highly unlikely.

My honest assessment is that we will be fortunate to finish at 500 for the year. Hope I'm wrong, and I'll be at the RC for all remaining games yelling my lungs out in support of the Spids, but fear this will likely be CM's first losing season since his second year.

agree, the top spots typically go to good players on good teams. if we can get it in gear, he's got a pretty good chance.

Terry has seemed tired on both offense and defense in the last several games. He really carried the team in the first ten games and now seems to be struggling a bit. I hope he can get back to where he was at the start of the season in these last nine games.

Players and teams get tired when there is basically a 7 man rotation. Ask Duke about it.

Mason beats Davidson at the buzzer, once again proving my point that the A-10 is a mediocre conference with 3 bids tops.

Do you mean 3 bids minimum? A10 hasn't had fewer than 3 bids in almost a decade. Also, Davidson isn't a top A10 team and wasn't anywhere near a tournament team before that loss. Dayton, Saint Joe's, GW, Saint Bonaventure and VCU have a much better chance of at large bids. Most bracket projections have 4 A10 teams getting bids right now.

We used to have good teams too. Temple, Xavier, Butler.

A-10 is kind of what was expected, except of course thought the Spiders would be 9-3 instead of 6 and 6 at this point. Don't worry - reality has set in and expectations lowered. And speaking of Xavier they are having the best season in recent memory.

A10 gets three bids max. Only two bids are possible depending who wins the tournament. OSC

Actually, they have some pretty good teams. Should have googled before posting.
This year, the Big East is particularly strong at the top. Might even have the National Champion in Villanova, who has the look of a legitimate contender. Xavier is very tough and likely will go deep into the tournament. Providence is top 20.
