SLU shot 46% from the field to VCU's 42% and SLU had 23 FT's to VCU's 10 so how did they get blown away?
VCU took 72 shots and SLU only got 37 off. Hard to lose that way!
prediction - Soulis plays at least 10 minutes and either Walz or Beagle or both get into foul trouble given Avila's big body
I like SLU -6. Guess now up to -7. I've been liking UR in A10 mainly bc the A10 is overrated & also backing Sec9.
I'd love to see the stat on playing opponent immediately after VCU beats them. It's got to be a terrible record. Which u expect to some degree. Conversely, it feels like we send opponents into VCU after a W against us. We do the opposite. Anecdotally. Again I'd like to see the numbers. VCU takes care of business, UR doesn't. When a team is playing VCU and UR back to back in some fashion. Feels even worse than each teams normal winning %. It can make the next game a little easier or harder depending on result of prior game imo. vcu makes it harder on us. we make it easier on them. It's like we're playing each other!
Anyway we're in that situation today. Give me those Bills.

I think we have only taken 3 threes so far in the second half and are actually focusing on getting into the lane. Seems to be working well, wish we did this all the time.

Yet again, failing to execute in late clock situations. Possession to nowhere leads to taking a timeout with 6 seconds left. Out of timeout, can’t even successfully run a play to get that shot off.
When I saw that we were up 8 with 5 minutes I knew Mooney would do something
Can't believe how many times we stepped out of bounds in the final minutes.
Mooney is such a bad end of game coach. He got schooled by SLU coach.

I had zero expectations of winning this thing going into it but we had played well enough and kept it close enough in the second half to give me that (false) hope that maybe we could pull it off after all. Sloppy play after sloppy play to close it out after going up what 7 or 8 very late? Defeat from the jaws of victory, that’s the Moonie way. I am so tired of this shit.

For those listening the color guy was doing his typical we r paid to talk well about the coaches & he was talking about Mooney being there 20 years having guys play inspired & he said & “in 20 years he’s …PAUSE…had them in a number of ncaa tournaments”. Pretty funny. Like saying 3 after just saying the number 20 was too embarrassing.

5 pts in last 552...horrible end of game coaching but that's what a Mooney team does.
I'm so tired of Mooney that I find myself wanting us to lose but find it difficult to root against the Spiders. It's a really effed up place to be.
How can we give up so many layups without help. Beagle is awful on defense. Avila backing down White
and he does absolutely nothing. AP did a good job on Avila but gave up an easy layup and one cause he
did not play goal side and got way out of position. Decisions have got to be better on both ends of the court.

I've stopped watching or listening to the games. No longer season ticket holder. Makes for a calmer and happier life
Schertz and Avila are currently cracking up on the team bus headed to the airport that Mooney primarily had 5'7 White who weighs 1/2 of Avila on him most of the game.
